An excellent return to classic Pokemon, and a worthy update to the original games. Will be a long-lasting game, considering the wealth of post-story features. I will say, though, that some features are not currently fully operational, like multiplayer and transferring Pokemon from other games. This doesn't detract from the core experience, but it will be a bit before everything is open.
