As long as you hold his foot back, he will roar. Since unwrapping it, he has been inseparable from his new dinosaur companion. The realistic roars it emits never fail to elicit giggles from my grandson, adding an extra layer of excitement to his playtime. He has many dinosaur toys, but this one is his clear favorite! While the constant roaring can become a bit much after a while, it is a small price to pay for the joy it brings. This toy requires 3 LR44 batteries to operate the sounds, which are included and easily removable for silent play. As a Jurassic Park enthusiast myself, I find this velociraptor rendition absolutely adorable &ndash; its vibrant blue stripes and menacing claws make it a standout addition to any toy collection. So we already have a variety of dinosaurs. But the Mega Roar Velociraptor was a major hit!!! From the moment we took it out of the box, my 4 year old said &ldquo;Blue!&rdquo; and immediately started playing. The latest is that he is hiding from another dinosaur in the &ldquo;grass&rdquo;. The lifelike growling, chewing, and roaring are major hits! He loves to pull the leg back and let it roar and hiss. I like that it&rsquo;s responsive to how long or short you hold the leg back. It isn&rsquo;t just a recording but actual follows the child&rsquo;s play. Dinosaur action figure is very sturdy. It comes with a piece of meat that can be fed to the dinosaur. The sound is activated by moving the leg back which opens the mouth. The sound from the dinosaur is loud and clear. The roar is not just a static roar as it has various roar elements like the normal roar, chewing meat, and full stomach.
