It is strong and well made. I love the different shapes and colors that she's learning while playing. I also really like that the pieces can be stored inside the box so no pieces go missing. They still tend to enjoy playing with some of the same toys, and this wooden shape sorter is one of them! It comes with 9 plastic shapes of various colors. The plastic of the shapes makes it easy to wash and dry when needed. I'm able to use this shape sorter on-the-go, such as when I'm at a doctor's appointment with the kids. It's small enough to fit in my diaper bag and keeps both of my children entertained and learning. It&rsquo;s a wooden box with a plastic top and there are spots on all the sides but the back to put the shapes in! The shapes are plastic and different that what you usually see in other shape sorter totes. My daughter definitely prefers this one over her other name brand sorter. While there are so many shapes because they utilize most 3 sides and the top, there&rsquo;s only one of each shape. I think it should have come with two of each. But the issue I have which is why I am giving 4 stars is that the top which is plastic... not thick but super thin.. comes off. So my daughter likes to take that and try to walk around with it. I do take it away because if she were to fall on it she could get hurt. It&rsquo;s a straight piece not like a lid.
