The transforming turtle hideout playset is a fun little toy. It is very sturdy and well constructed. My 8 yr old boys had some trouble opening the toy sometimes since a small button has to be pressed at the same time that they lift it up. Another issue is that when they close it, it has a little gap that it stops halfway, if they don't get their finger out of the way, it could get smashed. It doesn't slam shut but just pinches a little. The figures that come with it are cute to play with. My boys wished that the turtle was colored a little more similar to what he looks like in a game. Its decorated and etched but still all basically a muted green with exception of its belly. The size is perfect for a travel toy you can bring along on trips and store the characters inside. My son immediately set up a scenario in his mind and began playing with Steve and the little turtle.
