The box was excessively taped all over, the doll had a big white stain running through it. They snow globe style tail full of glitter looks absolutely magical! My daughter is going to be thrilled to get this from Santa. The colour changing lights inside the tail makes it a great comfort toy for kids who are uncomfortable with the dark. I played with this for five minutes before i realized, its very entertaining and soothing for an adult i can only imagine the mesmerization of littles with this toy. It can be hard to convince her sometimes that taking a bath is not boring, so having a toy that lights up, sings and talks is a huge plus. My daughter even enjoys having us turn off the lights for a little bit so she can watch Ariel light up under water - I have to admit that I enjoy it too. She likes to give Ariel a bath too, which makes it easier for me to give her a bath. I strongly recommend this for any child that thinks bath time is boring or just to someone that wants to make bath time a little more exciting. This is also a great toy to play with when it's not bath time. From the hair on her head, to the fin, which allows her to stand! This Ariel Sing and Sparkle doll is just beautiful! Her hair is silky smooth and very luscious. It comes out of the packaging and false into this perfectly layered haircut with the perfect amount of waves/curls! Her tail, not only lights up but it sparkles and has a 'sbow globe' like effect. She sings two full songs and sounds just like Ariel! She says many phrases as well. My son has taken her into the shower with him and she dried and looks as beautiful as ever with minimal combing of her hair. She is my favorite princess so I knew I needed to own this. She sings and says phrases. Turn her upside down and the glitter in her fin moves back and forth, it's so pretty. When placed in water, it lights up. She will also sing out of water by pressing her necklace. It's made very well but I don't know if I would recommend putting the whole thing into the water. You probably can but I am not going to attempt it. I'm just putting the fin in and watching her sing. After just a few days of play, it already looks like she's going to become a favorite toy.
