It wasn't hard to put together. Only problem there were several pieces missing from the kitchen. Parts for the pannin maker were missing making it useless. We were more upset about it then she was, we had looked forward to ordering pannis from her. There was a part to hang the phone missing. All in all she's having lots of fun playing with it. Everything needed to be done down to applying the stickers. Considering the cost of this versus other ones I looked that you'd think that at least the stickers would be applied. Also for the cost I wish the burners lit up and made noise. My daughter loves playing with the panini maker since it makes noise but that piece doesn't click in and stay so she's able to pull it off with little effort. The prongs stick out of the bottom so I don't let her play with it unless it's in place. Other than that, I like that this set has a table and chair which she uses more than anything. It keeps my two year old semi entertained as long as i'm with him, but he doesn't play with it alone (unless you include him throwing the food toys everywhere). One problem I have with it is the seating area that juts out the side, it is not sturdy and ofcourse my son likes to climb up on things and the counter is already bending.
