The set contains dozens of clever nods and Easter eggs from the actual show. I really don't mind stickers in my Lego, especially when it's done this way. The problem however, comes when you have to assemble said masterpiece. The fact that the set shows the real world and the upside-down is really cool but for a Lego set it's a poor choice particularly when one side is supposed to just hang down from the other. During the process of attaching the trees to make the set do so, pieces were falling of everywhere left and right. The people who engineered the set choose to make the trees attach at four ball joints! This made me have to force the pieces together way more than I would have liked to, ultimately ending in the whole thing exploding. I couldn't even put it back together since it's practically impossible to find a sloped 1x1 in a pile of over two-thousand pieces. The ability to play in both the regular world as well as the upside down is great, and the way that this theme was combined in the set makes it that much more fun. For most of it, the buildability was fine. There are a couple of steps that required careful counting to know what to do, and there were some blind attachments, but these aren't very frequent. The pieces that attach the two houses together do require a bit of force to properly snap them into place. They need to be in the socket almost all of the way. Just a tiny sliver of them will stick out of the socket when they're properly inserted. Playability is fine. All of the characters that are included help with that, as does the removable sheriff truck. I would have like to see some more dynamic parts of the finished build for playability, but that could just be me. I built the Mustang before this set and Stranger Things was my second LEGO set in almost 2 decades so it's not like I have a lot of experience. I finished the two houses and when I tried to clip them together, the roof partially collapsed on one side and a few other smaller parts came off. It was super frustrating and I put it down and walked away. Came back a day later to see where I hadn't lined it up correctly. I rebuilt and tried a second time with zero issue. I don't get these reviews saying they rebuilt 5 times and it didn't come close to working. I have had this built set sitting displayed for 8 months and it's very sturdy and sound. Super great detail and an engaging build overall. It is a little complex when you attach the two houses and then the trees so have patience and carefully follow the instructions. First, the overall concept is terrific, and a real conversation starter (regardless of whether or not you're familiar with &quot;ST&quot;). The level of detail is also great, especially if you are a big fan of the show (note: mini figures with this set are outstanding). All of that said, how this set comes together is, again....interesting. Starting out building the up/down side of the cabin is fun, but when it comes time to connect the two together, you really need to pay attention when aligning the bases of the up/down side, insuring one fits precisely on top of the other: the set will go together if the base of either side is slightly skewed to the left or right (see pictures below); however, this is clearly a problem (and for someone who likes their builds to be perfect, a constant, irritating visual reminder that the set is a bit off). It would be helpful if, in the instructions, there was more attention given to the importance of aligning the two bases. For example, and as I've tried to highlight in the pictures, the instructions could highlight that gray piece, to the effect of saying, &quot;Be sure these two pieces perfectly align&quot; (I mention these two gray pieces as they are an easy-to-spot visual queue as to whether or not the two bases are aligned). Again, I was able to attach the trees without any real difficulty, and the finished set is quite sturdy. Still, in addition to the visual annoyance, I wonder if - over time - having one base off-center will lead to stress on the entire set. At some point I'll likely tear this apart and correct the problem.
