It was a really enjoyable build with so many fabulous details including the light up chimney. The only bit I don't like is the tile 'baby' which I think passes off better as a cookie. I love the cute little figures that come as part of the build. Now for the bad news: The roof panels are an absolute horror show, and the rigor of putting them in place negatively affected my whole attitude toward the build. Expert level or not, it is my not-so-humble opinion that this product needs revision. Love the detail of the house from the icing to the Christmas stockings that sit above the fire place. I would have loved to have seen more mini figures as my daughter ended up bringing some lego ninjargo to the party but she hasn't stopped playing eith the set which is great to see. They got through the first 3 bags and everything was fine. Bag #4 open and they gave up. Just spent the last 2 hours going through the rest of the instructions to figure out what pieces we were missing and it ended up being over 100. I hope they ship quickly so we can have a Christmas decoration instead of a half built mess. The decor and all the little touches are great. I did not have a problem with any of the roof sections, everything fit together perfectly. This is a table centerpiece next to Santa's Visit and they look great together. These two sets may be the only ones I actually dismantle so I can put them together again next Christmas!
