<span itemprop="description">This was a nice looking set until a few days after my daughter started using it. The wood is so soft that the finish comes off very easily and it looks awful with scratches all over. She's a very gentle, careful girl, so I was quite surprised how little it takes for it to get marked up. The chairs also have marks on them. We received this as a gift and didn't return it within the warranty from Toys R Us, but the manufacturer has offered to send us a new table top. We're sure it will do the same thing again based on previous reviews indicating others have had the same experience.</span>

She had it shipped to us as we were moving therefore it didn't get set up right away.We personally chose this product based on the fact it was a better size for our growing kids,looks great and thinking you get what you pay for. Well let me say you DO NOT! This table is NOT KID FRIENDLY! the day we set it up the color started chipping from hardly any impact! Oh and be sure to not let your kids let anything touch it because it will leave a mark or dent as the wood is so soft! Our table has hardly been used yet and it looks terrible!Everything that touches is takes color off and dents it. I love that I have to tell my kids " don't put that on your table" They are 3 and 5 and you can imagine how that goes! If I could afford it (which I cannot) I would buy them a new set elsewhere but Im stuck with this. An awful table that aggravates me every time I look at it!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Once we received this product (had to order online as not available in store) we began the lengthy process of putting it all together. The table top was chipped in a few spots to begin with, and while the intructions were fairly simple, the holes in the chairs did not line up well to screw together so it became a difficult and time consuming task. The chairs are sturdy enough for adults to sit on but the finish is easily chipped and scratched by a toddler. Also note that it is more of a dark brownish red, not just dark brown, in colour.</span>

HI There, The table top is made from MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and the legs are made from solid pine wood. The chair top and chair back are made from MDF and the remainder of the parts are made from solid pine wood. We hope this helps! The KidKraft Customer Care Team
