Not to difficult to go from sitting to riding and the charge lasts a decent amount of time. It charges pretty quickly. It did take me a while to figure out how to turn it into a bike from scooter form because the instructions were not clear. But once I did figure it out it was easy to do. It does take some time to get used to balancing when riding. It starts off slow then picks up speed. The brakes work very well and quick. It is fun to ride. The materials were sturdy and the battery life was better than expected (although It went further and faster with my kids on it vs adults).
