This piece has been incorporated into a bunch of different playthroughs of our Thomas &amp; Friends Train sets. My 4-year-old loves to pick stuff up and drop it off, both in trains and around the play area. It helps with motor skills and planning, and keeps his interest for a bit longer than other toys. Not only does she come with her own track, she comes with Tess, a crane for lifting cargo. This set can easily be connected with any other push-along train sets. There is a track switch that allows Nia to drive around her own track or be redirected onto another attached track. The crane makes for loads of fun (pun intended) as the kids hoist the block into the train car. The set comes with a track splitter to connect with other tracks. The engine is a nice sturdy metal. However, I am a little concerned that the plastic connections for the tracks may break over time (see photo). Our only complaint is that it doesn&rsquo;t have any of the connector pieces to connect it to wooden tracks. We got a few of those with other sets and they increase the play value exponentially. My son enjoyed building the track and playing with Thomas as he grew up with Thomas since he was young. The positives are it's Thomas! Also kids love trains and the lift helps to keep the kids entertain. The negatives are the tracks only go in circles and the lift only had 1 item so kids will lose interest after some time. The only issue that he was finding was that the crane didn&rsquo;t lift up very high so when you grab the cargo off the train car, you really can&rsquo;t lift it up and off. He plays around it and still really enjoys this toy. It doesn&rsquo;t stop him from loving it.
