It&rsquo;s pretty durable, it took a lot of hard gals and still flies just like new. The range is pretty great, it goes very high up and seems to hold a charge pretty well. I was initially sad that my son couldn't fit into the age category but for a good reason. The toy itself was small and comprised of stuff that he could get himself hurt. We rather gave it to our nephew who was older and therefore could control the toy. He was having difficulty controlling it at first and we told him to play with it outside for safety. And maybe after 15 minutes, he was already having fun with it. He was not really a fan of Spiderman but after we gave it to him, he asked if Spiderman really had some type of wings. My husband was just too happy to answer his question with all the Marvel Universe &quot;possibilities&quot;. I will say the remote takes like 6 AA batteries which I thought was a bit overkill 😳. I had him use it outside since it goes up so high, the first time it fell, the plastic leg cracked. I felt like it should be a little more durable, but I do understand that use outside is a bit more risky for breaking. It doesn&rsquo;t want to stand well for take off so a lot of times someone has to hold it until take-off. The remote would stop operating it like it was on the wrong frequency, I&rsquo;m not sure if it was because the batteries in the helicopter were getting low or what that is about. The toy came with the leg cracked on one side and one of the controller joysticks didn't have tension. I still charged it and tried to fly it, it went up about 50 feet and the remote lost signal and it came crashing down and broke worse. So I did email the company who sent me the toy and they were prompt at replying and sent me a new one free of charge! That's the only reason I'm giving this product a 3 because the second one was the same. The controller loses connection to the toy once it goes so high up and then the toy just falls to the ground. The jetpack on Spiderman's back is also very heavy so it's nearly impossible for him to stand up to take flight.
