<span itemprop="description">I could not have anticipated the amount of fun and joy this set brought our family! First off, I decided putting it together would be FUN! And fulfilling! And guess what…. I was RIGHT! The family did not believe me at first, but truly, the directions were super easy to follow, and my husband, daughter, and small son put it together all by ourselves! It is imperative that you organize all the pieces. I cannot stress that enough. We took the morning to organize, and started building in the afternoon. All-in-all, I’d say it took two weekends to get it fully completed. We took our time. There is definitely a pride factor, in doing it yourself. If you have some patience, time, and energy, I highly recommend it.
As for the play set itself… it’s phenomenal. We all absolutely love it. My husband is a big, muscle guy and it supports him, no problem. The kids have found countless hours of fun playing. I have too :). I’m so glad that after extensive research, we settled upon this play set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">We bought the sky fort with kids slide in the summer of 2022. We have a 4 year old and a 2 year old who love both slides and rock wall morning and night. The straight slide is a bit fast for the wild no fear 2 year old but he loves it. Assembly was a full weekend process but if the instructions are followed things go together easily. I found it best to pull everything out, sort items alphabetical by box and referred to the packing list as I needed each item.The finish so far is holding up but I believe I will need to apply a protective coating later this year, due to California sun damage.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This play set is AMAZING! My son loves it! My wife and I just had our second child and provide some relief for her during the day, we bought this for my son. He spends all day playing on this. Sometimes he just takes his car up and plays with them in the tree house. This is worth every penny! I bought the open base and put down a tarp and filled it with play sand to make the under side a "makeshift sand box". I highly recommend it, definitely adds to hours of fun. Or just buy the skyfort with the sandbox.
Playset is super sturdy - Dont over think it, just buy it - the smile on my son's face from something that I built for him... for me, nothing more satisfying.
NOVICE ADVICE:
I bought this in Oct. 2022 and I will say, it is possible for one person to build this. I am 5'11", 160lbs - most average person you could meet. But I was determined to build this for my boy. It took 2-weekends for me to complete.
If you enjoy a challenge and working with your hands, then you can do it.
ORGANIZE AND SEPERATE THE PIECES! I read that it was easier to just work off the packing list in each box... NOPE! Not the best way at all. It was a nightmare. The Second day, I spent 2-3 hours to organize all the pieces and that made everything go so much faster and less frustrating.
I found it helpful to use the app as well as the paper instructions. 90% of the using the paper instructions are very clear, but 10% was a little confusing, using the app instructions, it gives a 3-D visual and shows how the pieces connect for every step. So when I got stuck one of the steps, the app was very helpful for clarification.
THOMPSON CLEAR WATER PROOFING - If I was doing this again, I would organize and spray each piece and then start the build on the second day. Water proofing is crucial.
Some piece showed up damaged, I contacted BYD and they got me set up with an online portal. Great customer service, online portal made it super simple to select the exact replacement pieces. Their system for replacement is impressive and very user friendly. New pieces showed up within a week.</span>

We had a couple pieces that needed replaced due to breaking in shipping, but we got them ordered and shipped in under a week! My only complaint on this set is there were a handful of pieces that the pre drilled holes didn’t line up no matter which way you turned the board. Also if there was a way they could differentiate too/bottom and front/back of parts, it would have saved multiple occasions of uninstalling multiple pieces over and over again.</span>

Suggestions from the guys: DEFINITELY download & print out the instructions (106 pages) plus another 32 for the twirly slide. They put them in a binder to make it easier to follow the directions.
DO NOT take the wood out of the boxes, organize the pieces in each box instead (keeps things neater & the search easier)
Leave the hardware organized in its packages (there is ALOT of hardware!!)
They built the roofs on a flat surface then lifted the completed pieces to the top of the tower.
Lots of clamps were very helpful in holding pieces in place while leveling or securing as needed.
We are going to modify the base of the tower with one more board to make a deeper sandbox. Because there is much to be learned about life by making castles decorated with sticks & leaves for dinosaurs.
I love that the girls love it & that the entire family had a part in it. Coming to Gigi’s is always supposed to a place where the love is unmatched & the fun is magical.</span>

Must stay organized during building process. Shipping was as predicted. Minor cosmetic defects in a few pieces of wood, none of which effect structure. To be expected with quantity of wood this comes with.</span>

It is a fun little playset, the quality is alright - we had to make reinforcements and will take sealing the wood more than once a year to keep it decent. Also, if you have strong winds like we do, you'll need to make sure it is secure in the ground. The anchors provided won't hold up to our wind.</span>
