If you have a little one that loves to play hairdresser and animals then this is perfect. Get get the &lsquo;cut&rsquo; all the dogs extra matted hair off, give them a bath and dry and brush to bring them back to beauty! Then accessories can be added to really make them their own! The box folds out into a salon and a little carrier for their pet. We bought it for her in preparation for getting s real puppy, to explain how you need to care for and groom them. She had a lot of play value out of this. My son still plays with his first generation scruff a luv 3 years later so I expect this one to go on and on. You get the toy but you are not sure how it will turn out until you &lsquo;shave&rsquo;, wash and style them. You get 10 items in the box like hair clips, collar, hair straightener, comb. Each are age appropriate but my daughter felt like a real groomer when using them. Even as an adult I was amazed to see the transformation from the matted mess you take out of the box to the perfect pampered pooch you end up with. From when you take it out of the box you need to use shaver that comes with it to remove all the hair which you can then pack into the sleeve provided to use as a mini cushion, tip would be don't shave it on your carpet as it is quite difficult to get it all up. It also comes with surprise accessories like a nail varnish and straighteners and also the little plastic razor comes with batteries which is great. When my kids realised that we were going to give the pup a haircut and makeover they were fully involved, and I got to spend some time playing with them where they were actually entertained and attentive for a change hahaha. The toy quality is pretty decent, at first when I took it out of the box I felt that it was not much better than the average claw machine prize, but that's not true, part of the reveal process is to wash and dry / groom this cuddly and upon grabbing the wife's hairdryer the hair / fur actually fluffed up really soft (so soft in fact that my younger daughter who is 3 has taken to cosying the pup in bed at night). So the thing here is that it's a cuddly and surprise box in one, firstly you have to take the clippers and &quot;shave&quot; (scrape) off the excess hair (which at first i thought was a waste and it was all going in the bin, but cleverly it actually provides stuffing for the pillow case that's inside (the colour of which being one of the surprises), this then reveals which pup you get. Afterwards you wash and dry the pub and the box doubles up as a temporary salon environment for authenticity factor. Inside the cupboards there are lots of little accessories which are your surprises so hair clips, collar etc etc and a nail polish which when you fill it with ice cold water and paint the dogs toes reveals a colour and gives the kids the feeling that they are actually paining the nails (only without getting nail polish on the carpet and couch) hahaha. My girls are 7 and 3 and they had GREAT fun playing with this with me, and like I said it has doubled up as a night time cuddly for my 3 year old. It's a decent quality product and if your kids like cuddly toys and surprise boxes then this will be right up their street, the makeover element just adds a bit of extra depth to the toy and is quite a fun wee idea. The little ball of fur you can shave off to reveal your puppy type with the vibrating razor before a wash in the bath to fluff up all its main fur. It comes with added accessories to brush and style it's hair on its head and a little collar.
