My daughter carries it around everywhere in the little purse that it comes with. It is soft and a good toy for any age kid. The hair &ldquo;shaves&rdquo; off easily and then you use that for that came off to stuff into a little pillow for your new rescued friend! I though that was so clever! She carefully removed all the excess fur (and bathed) to reveal her new pet and was overjoyed to receive a frenchie. Be prepared to capture all the fur that gets removed. It can get out of hand if you don't pre-plan. We had a big bowl at the ready which allowed us to capture all the fur so that it didn't get everywhere. I went and visited my grand daughters in Florida and gave my 8 year old this. Purple being her favorite color she was excited. Her sister also got one, and knew all about it, so she showed her sister. She shaved it and was amazed that it actually shaved her pet down. She washed her and dried it, and brushed it. This is really an awesome gift for little ones. She had previously gotten scruff a luvs before but this one was different. It brought a whole different and messier feature to the new toy. Shaving the toy first with a &quot;shaver&quot; before bathing it gave my daughter the feeling of how it is to groom a dog. She has to take it everywhere she goes. She cut the hair the first night and stuffed the pillow case with it. Now she sleeps with her every night. It comes with extra hair that you have to use the clippers(not actual clippers). The clippers make noise that made my niece actually sound like you are shaving the dog. It comes with a pillow case that you put the extra hair in when you are done shaving it.
