Assembling this playset together took a bit of time and eye-hand coordination because it needs to be snapped in the right places. After assembling, my kids were excited to play with it. It came with 4 characters from the movie but other pups can be added as well. We had pups from other playsets, so we added them too. We wish the playset made sounds or had sound effects, especially when the villains gets trapped in the cage or when trying to escape. This would have enhanced their play more if there were sounds. Overall, this kept them entertained for a while. The set features a functional elevator component that raises and lowers with a handle, then can be locked into place at the top, then when your little pushes the red PAW patrol button, drops Vee down into jail. The elevator was my 3 year olds favourite part for sure! It has other moving parts as well, including a revolving door that spins when the elevator is raised/lowered, a weather vane that can be rotated, and a fountain where your little can make Zuma pop out from. This is capable of sparking lots of imagination and encourage pretend play for any PAW Patrol fans. I think my 3 year old will be even more interested once the movie is out and hes seen it. I removed one start only because our revolving door at the back of the jail cell doesnt spin all the way to the opposite side - only about halfway. Im not sure if its just slightly misaligned and I should force it to correct, or if that would just break the toy so Ive just left it as is. When I opened the parcel, the packaging for the playset was very attractive. My kids 3 and 4 were both excited to see what was inside. The setup to put it together was pretty easy (the instructions were a bit difficult to follow as it was only pictures) and one part was difficult to snap together but we figured it out. Once assembled my 3 year old immediately started playing an imaginary rescue game with skye. My 4 year old really liked the elevator component and played with that part the most. It held their attention for quite a while. My kids arent usually very intot he paw patrol show, they know the characters a bit but dont watch it regularly. Despite this they liked playing with the characters and the playset had some fun components that they used to make up games. They both said they would like to watch the new movie when it comes out and I think theyll be excited to see that this set is from the movie. Overall this would be a great toy for kids who love paw patrol or like to play imaginary games and make up stories.
