The sizes fit perfectly in his hands. He was able to manipulate them very easily. He especially liked the pieces that contained the rattles. He was fascinated by the animals especially the giraffe. This was an easy toy to pack and take, without taking up a lot of room. They are the perfect size for her little hands and the colors are very vibrant. The blocks resemble safari animals, lion, elephant, giraffe and a monkey. Her favorite is the giraffe because it&rsquo;s like a rattle. It promotes auditory skills. The lion is for visual skills and the elephant promotes tactical skills. I guess the monkey is just extra pieces. She doesn&rsquo;t pay much attention to the monkey or elephant pieces. He especially loved shaking the blue noise block that was part of the giraffe, as well as the lions spinning head. He seemed intrigued with the sounds that they made. The block sizes were perfect for his little hands and I was equally impressed with the durability of the blocks. My son is very into throwing his toys at the moment, as well as putting them in his mouth. They withstood pretty much all the abuse he put them through. My older son had fun showing my youngest how to put the animals together. She loves to build with blocks and this adds a fun element to her building. Not only does she make the animals but she cam also stack them on top of each other to make a tall animal tower and of course knock it over after. The sensory elements are really fun, I think the lion is her favorite, she tries to spin it really fast. Spinning the lions head has a nice rattle to it because of the beads. The head is a little top heavy but my daughter isn't setting it down, she's playing with it so it's not a big problem. She enjoys shaking the piece I used for the giraffe with the bell in it. She hasn't had any interest in the elephants ears even though they move. The ears don't make any noises to catch her attention. Overall, it's a fun toy she likes to shake and spin.
