The buttons take a little while to figure out how it fully works. When the switch is up the lights and sounds are motion activated, then when you hold the button in the light will turn yellow. When the switch is down you need to press the button for sounds and lights. We are huge marvel fans, and especially Thor is one of our favorites. It is nicely made, hood quality materials and both side of the hammer are made of special kind of foam so it won&rsquo;t hurt furniture or people while kids are playing with it. But, my son barely plays with it, there&rsquo;s only two noises that it makes and they are a little annoying, and two different light colors. This is such a cool toy from the movie. It makes cool sounds and lights up. My daughter was running around swinging the hammer at everything because it makes sounds when you swing it. Fortunately the ends are made of a soft foam so you aren't likely to break anything or injur anyone. It feels really high quality and I don't think it will break anytime soon.
