<span itemprop="description">While building the sides kept falling off due to only being attached by 2 very small pieces and as I had to attach to every side it left no side to hold to clip in parts of the LEGO, resulting in parts continually falling off when trying to attach new parts. Also I had a few missing pieces during the build. Wouldn’t recommend as it was extremely irritating to put together.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I know a lot of people complain about the panels not being secure and falling off; this wasn't a problem for me, but I was handling the model carefully. The real issue is the wing mechanism which has only one technic brick per wing for support. This is a major design flaw as it causes the wings to sag and twist. Otherwise I think the overall details and shaping of this X-wing are great and it looks awesome on my shelf! If you can get this at a good discount I'd recommend it, but personally I wouldn't buy at full retail.</span>

J avais hésité en lisant certain avis, mais je me suis lancé.
Contrairement à ce que j ai pu lire, le chasseur est suffisamment solide et stable sur son socle. Évidemment ça reste un lego et ça se démonte. Il faut le manipuler avec précaution.
Un set assez simple à monter et qui vous garanti quelques heures de plaisir a assembler.

<span itemprop="description">I was very excited to get this set. I loved the way it looked on the box and thought it would look great on my shelf. However, once I excitedly started the build process, I was quickly very frustrated. Every single panel on the fuselage would not stay on. Every connection is extremely weak and every time you try to add onto the build, another part falls off. I spent HOURS rebuilding and reattaching every panel only for them to fall off again later in the building process. I asked others for help and none of them could get the build to stay together either. Ultimately, I completely gave up in frustration and am planning to return it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Great set. I read some reviews about build quality and how fragile this set was and almost didn't buy it, but decided to give it a go because it's LEGO and they in my experience make good stuff.
After receiving this and starting building I found I had none of the issues described in other reviews.
The wings don't sag, the engines are straight and the panels seem to be quite sturdy. I do admit that I only have it as a static display and don't play with it or fly it around but even during the building process I found everything very easy.
If you are like me and on the fence about this set I would say grab it. It's fun and looks amazing when built.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Purchased this product over a year ago. It still sits on my entertainment stand, unfinished. The back panels near where the wings are is nigh impossible to put on. They’re medium sized pieces held by two sockets. You can get one side on but trying to get the other side on you just pop the others off. I’ve read it only gets worse as you build. I should have read reviews better prior to purchasing. I likely should’ve asked for a refund but I can assume too much time has passed. I’d also like to add though that this is my first purchasing issue with Lego as a brand. Unfortunate situation nonetheless</span>

The side panels of the body of the ship barely stay on and if they come off they're a nightmare to reattach, especially once the wings are in place. The base came apart and collapsed and a ton of stuff fell off, and I would need to rebuild the entire set to fix it. Don't waste your money. I'm a diehard Lego fan but this was an absolutely horrible experience.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The overall design of the ship is very nice looking, but the wings really ruin it. The engines look a little too big in my opinion, but most of the problems are with the wing design. It sags, so you cant display it with the wings closed. The wings are slightly crooked, because the back part of the engine tilts them. The single rubber band used to hold the wings is not sufficient, especially given that the older smaller sets used 2 per wing. The set will not age well as the wings continue to sag.</span>

Assembler les pièces du fuselage est un véritable cauchemar en raison du manque de points de fixation.
J'ai même fini par signaler à Lego un éventuel souci constaté par plusieurs acheteurs. Ils 'bottent en touche', c'est vraiment regrettable pour une marque de ce standing !</span>

<span itemprop="description">We have a at least 200 Lego sets and this by far is the worst set I have ever tried to build. It’s beyond frustrating. Lego you have sucked out all the joy of building what should be something enjoyable and rewarding. Flimsy side panels are ridiculous, they fall off just looking at them; and that’s providing you can actually fit them. It’s annoying because I was really looking forward to building this but luck seems to play a massive part it putting this together. This is the first review I have ever left but you need to understand a normal enthusiast builders point of view.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I was looking forward to building this model but even though I am now only halfway through, I’ve decided that I don’t like it a great deal. The model uses a lot of small parts which I generally enjoy, but In this case I am struggling to enjoy the experience. There are many weak points in the constitution that are only supported by one or two studs that are somewhat awkward to access during assembly. Whenever a bit of gentle pressure is required to assemble the components, the model often crumbles into several pieces. Often you have to go back 20-30 pages in the instructions to start over again. This model would also benefit from having 3D instructions because there are several places where assembly and accurate parts identification can be guesswork or good luck to get it right. I’m also disappointed and frustrated that there are pieces missing from the kit. Something that has never happened to me before.
Overall, when finished, the model will look great but the frustration levels due to flimsy design and construction means it will not be a favourite</span>

<span itemprop="description">Building Lego is meant to be a fun and rewarding experience. This kit unfortunately was the exact opposite, to the extent that I had to put it aside for a number of months due to my ever growing frustration.
This is properly the flimsiest and worst constructed Lego set I have built and can see from the reviews that I am not alone. My frustration gets worse as bits constantly fall off or get knocked off as you go through the various steps.
My advice is don’t waste your money or your time with this set. I wish I could get a refund and be compensated for the time I have wasted on this.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Avec 40 jouets enregistrés au compteur, c'est (haut la main) le build qui m'a donné le plus de difficultés à construire. Beaucoup de problèmes à signaler !
Premièrement, toute la carlingue tient par un système de clips (les mêmes pièces qu'on trouve sur des plaques des casques Star Wars). Sauf qu'ici, la première partie de la pièce est sensée être ancrée au châssis, et l'autre pièce (plate) est fixée sur la partie carrosserie. Ensuite, il faut appuyer / presser pour clipser les panneaux carrosserie à la carlingue. Problème : en appuyant d'un côté, il faut bien manipuler et prendre appui sur le vaisseau, dans le sens contraire, pour faire pression : Et bim, en assemblant un premier panneau, c'est le panneau opposé qui se déboîte. Mais il se déboîte en ayant toujours attaché l'ensemble des 2 pièces clips, du coup, il faut reprendre à zéro la première partie...
Tout se complique encore plus quand on veut y mettre des lights (un sacré challenge, car l'ensemble est tellement fragile, tout se déboîte hyper facilement).
Le poids des ailes fait qu'elles se rabaissent progressivement avec le temps, même si elles devraient logiquement tenir par un système de balancier / contre poids, les élastiques qui les maintiennent en position X sont trop faibles.
Ne parlons pas non plus du socle qui manque de stabilité pour maintenir ce bel engin.
Le rendu est tout de même superbe, mais l'expérience et l'épreuve du montage est trop frustrante, et l'ensemble est hyper fragile, et au final assez mal conçu.</span>

<span itemprop="description">If you buy this, be aware this build is fragile. The pieces on the wings, the display stand, and side panels will pop off easily. The display stand isn’t strong enough to support the aircraft and often the two pieces that hold up the set will pop off causing the x-wing to drop about a centimeter. Even though that isn’t a lot, the drop is strong enough to have wing pieces fall off. There are noticeable gaps along the fuselage as well.
As a display piece, this is an ok set. If you want to manipulate it any way, be very careful.</span>

<span itemprop="name">Great set with a few flaws</span>
<span itemprop="description">This is a fun build, took me about a week since the wings are repetitive and I did one wing per day. I don't like to rush my builds. But, the attention to detail here is wonderful. The cockpit looks fantastic, the detail on the wings and engines are really nice, the greebling on the top and back of the main body is great, and I like the Luke Skywalker minifigure - very cool detail there.
The wing opening/closing mechanism is interesting - it's a rubber band - but it isn't very sturdy. They do "lock" into place but not very firmly, so for display, you have to mess with it a little as the wings and laser cannons also won't always sit straight when displayed. I had to use a folded piece of paper hidden beneath a wing, placed between the wing and body, to hold it straight while on display. It's very easy to tell when the wings aren't straight because of the four laser cannons and four rear engines, but it's a simple adjustment. I don't mind having to use a piece of paper because you can't see it unless you look behind the model, but it is a flaw.
The model is also fragile, small pieces can pop off easily, as can some of the body paneling. But this is not a play set. The included stand is nice, and necessary, but the angle is off because aiming the X-wing upward means that it is difficult to see the best detail of the model - the top of the wings, the top of the body, and the cockpit. So I simply turned the stand sideways so the X-wing is, instead, level and banking to one side so you can see the body and wing detail.
I also added a light kit, which is challenging with this model (other models, like the UCS Millennium Falcon, make the wires easier to hide), but it really makes it come alive.
Overall, if you love Star Wars and love the X-wing, this is a great model. It just takes some patience and understanding that it isn't perfect, the wings are repetitive builds, it may take some fussing around to display it correctly, and it is for display only. Otherwise, a very good UCS model that fits great in my collection. I just wish the Luke minifigure could fit in the cockpit!</span>

<span itemprop="description">When this set is lifted up, pieces fall off on the back sides of the wings. The studless round pieces on the laser cannon arms all have gaps between them and slide around on the arm back and forth loose. I would rather have the cockpit have printed pieces versus stickers. I wish they didn’t use any stickers on UCS models. The use of rubber bands on the wings is a downgrade. There’s also some pieces that catch when opening and closing the wings. The wings in the open position will get stuck open if it’s turned all the way. The only way to get the wings closed again is to turn the knob while holding the wings further open. This has several illegal builds including placing bricks sideways between studs in the engine intakes. It felt like this entire set was designed by a team with no building skills. Worst design for the targeting system in the cockpit. I wish you guys could hire someone like Jerac to make a UCS X-wing.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I’ve been looking forward to this X-wing since the UCS TIE fighter came out a few years ago…That build was amazing and much better build. Which is why I think this build missed the mark. The base is weak and not ideal for the weight, on top of that the sign leaves much room for improvement. The X-Wing mechanism was a disappointment…held by red bands was not ideal for each wing weight either, also the twist knob is a little weak. The scale is far too large for the figures, Luke and R2D2 are way too small for the scale which is why I think this should’ve been a slightly smaller scale. The nose cone is a mess and does not fit well, some of the red leader stripes on the wings are only held by one puck, the engines are not very well thought out. Overall this UCS was disappointing to the other Star Wars UCS builds. I would not recommend at this price point, maybe half the price and even still I think most brick heads will find this a poor set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Very disappointed in this set for all the reasons others have mentioned. It's flimsy and poorly designed. Pieces just fall off while it's sitting on the shelf The build itself was ok, but the finished product just doesn't have the stability it needs.</span>
