<span itemprop="name">Great display and build</span>
<span itemprop="description">I recommend this product for anyone wanting a great clean display set. It is another elastic x wing so it does sag slightly but not anywhere near the same as some of the older xwings, the set could use a few more minifigs but i dont recommend buying it with those in mind. Overall its strength is displayability as its pretty much sole function is the wings opening which itself is quite janky and can take some fidgeting to get to work properly</span>

<span itemprop="name">A Fragile and Disappointing Build</span>
<span itemprop="description">I'm sorry to say that I must echo many of the other reviews here. Unfortunately, it turned out to be our most disappointing Lego build, ever.
The problems come down to this: the completed build is incredibly fragile. I understand that it is designed (and even advertised) for display. But fact is, the model doesn't hold up well even when being constructed.
Body plates are often held to the model with a single brick; if you knock that brick while attaching another one, good luck putting it back (you need a child's fingers in some cases). Likewise, the X-wing deployment mechanism depends upon ... rubber bands. It's hard to imagine those bands will remain durable for very long, even in a display model.
And the X-wings themselves - they neither open, nor close, cleanly. Even when "closed" they maintain a gap.
Worst of all, the stand for this very heavy Lego is extremely unstable. Pieces fall off if you move it from one location to another, and I am waiting for it to collapse entirely.
This X-wing is really beneath the standards I expect of Lego. Buy something else, I say!</span>

<span itemprop="name">A Disappointment</span>
<span itemprop="description">To understand this review, I think it's important to understand the context. The Lego UCS X-Wing is not only an iconic Star Wars image, it's also the OG UCS Set (7191). It's basically the flagship model. It's a big deal and it comes with high expectations.
As a lifelong Lego fan, I've always wanted a UCS X-Wing, but I missed the first couple. I was absolutely thrilled when this one came out, and I had high hpes that I think are reasonable given the legacy of the UCS X-Wing. I was stoked to pre-order it, and more excited about it than any of the other UCS sets I've ordered.
This set - I hate to say - is a flop. It's not terrible in an abstract, fully removed sense, but given what a UCS X-Wing should be, it's a miss. It compares poorly against other UCS sets. The flaws are so numerous, and so obvious, that in my opinion it should have never shipped.
1) The stand breaks. If you ask, Lego will ship you some additional pieces to fix it. Still, ridiculous.
2) You can't fit a minifig in the cockpit.
3) The wings / aspect ratio are just... off. You can lengthen the wings by one stud and it helps, but you shouldn't have to.
4) It's incredibly fragile. Arguably others are fragile too, like the Snowspeeder, but the Snowspeeder is awesome in other ways and still more durable than this. The X-Wing's got a bunch of pieces that just fall off if you touch them. Zero play value, even given low expectations for playing with a UCS set.
5) The wings sag if not in X position, so you can't really pose it. I always liked the vibe of the non-attack-position X wing, but nope.
6) The wing gears loosen over time due to a bad design, and feel sloppy when adjusted. They depend on a plate on the top maintaining tension, and it has a tendency to push up and detach. Not very obvious when it happens, making the set feel imprecise.
7) The greebling on the exterior, and the general detail, is lower than sets like the Snowspeeder, Tie Interceptor, and Y Wing.
8) A lot of visually important pieces are attached by one stud, so they get misaligned.
I'll note that a lot of these issues have community fixes. But that says something; they're all pretty much all fixable, but simply weren't. I have no idea what happened behind the scenes, but the result feels rushed, sloppy, unfinished. Just a bummer.
It deserves the overall low rating, unfortunately, and I wish the designer had done better. This is the only UCS set I have that I can't recommend.</span>

<span itemprop="name">Believe the negative reviews - should not be sold</span>
<span itemprop="description">Lego needs to pull this set off of shelves immediately. I just tore this apart after building it 6 months ago and having the wing mechanism break and the sides fall off constantly. Thought maybe I did something wrong so I rebuilt it and same garbage. This should not be sold. Shame on you Lego.</span>

<span itemprop="name">It's too cool not to have</span>
<span itemprop="description">This is so big & just too cool not to have. I love the final build but it does have it's challenges. It's a display piece, not a toy. You have too be careful handling it to keep pieces from popping off. They really should have added some additional support to attach side panels of the fuselage. They're easily knocked off. The engine fan blades will fall off if you just touch them. The build was fun & I enjoyed it.</span>

<span itemprop="name">Sacrificing details over durability</span>
<span itemprop="description">Basically, this model falls apart quite drastically. If you pick it up from the stand, several pieces just falls off. It is to unstable to just hold it with 2 hands. Panels aren't properly secure.
On reading the manual, the designer ABSOLUTELY wanted to get all the details in. HOWEVER in doing so, it wasn't a model you could move.
It says a lot if the manual tells you how to hold the X-Wing. The only way it can not fall apart, if you glue all the pieces together! I LOST my Luke figure because of this shabby build.
It's upsetting Lego would put a model out without product testing. My kid was upset that we lost Luke but fortunately didn't loose anymore pieces. Built it once. Once I held it and things started to come off, it went right back in the box!</span>
