It has a detailed booklet to follow each step of the building precess and most of the pages were easy enough for my 7 year old to followe herself. It was very engaging and she was extremely interested to see if she can manage to finish it. She also seemed entertained by the picture of little girl on each page who was moving along with the progress of building. This was a big success. She was able to build it with no help, following the build instructions easily. It kept her entertained for a good few hours building and once built she spend time playing with the figures too. He was so happy when he got this new set to add to his collection. He couldn't wait to open it and start building it. The packaging is bright and eye-catching. The instructions were clear and easy to follow for my 6 years old boy . We built the set together the first time and really enjoyed the whole experience and had so much fun . My boy has built it few times on his own since and he's put it together with the rest of his LEGO Friends sets and plays with it all the time . He especially likes the skateboard as the wheels really work. He also likes the outdoor table and the sandwiches. The Diner restaurant looks impressive inside and out and it's of a great quality and easy to build. I quite like all the attention to detail and even the small pens and notepads . I think it's great that there were some spare parts provided in case any get lost during play . My all 3 children enjoyed building this set. My 4 year old daugher was in charge to build all figures, my 9 year old daugher and 11 year old son was building the rest of the set. It took around 30 minutes to master all set. But play didn't ended after that at all. My son loved skate board and a boy figure. And my girls was sharing 2 girl figures. It worked so great. This little set have endless fun. This Lego set lasts for hours of creation and using imagination, which is great. After building the thing, it becomes a great experience for further play with characters and set equipment, like in actual Diner. The only complaint I received from my kids, that the thing is rather small and inside is even more tight, so when you touch something, next thing is broken.
