I&rsquo;m sure the whole thing was downscaled because of price point. My daughter had so much fun building the diner, and I loved watching her building it. She had lots of fun playing with it once it was fully built, and liked playing with the characters. The lego was really good quality and she was able to store it ok her shelves to keep for play next time. It's a great conversation starter for her friends when they come over! Our boy has been playing with it ever since he got it . The instructions were easy to follow and the instructions book is brilliant for kids to follow. Altho there are so many pages to go through it actually doesn't take that long to build it . Our boy managed to build the set on his own with minimal help from me but we really enjoyed building it . He loves the LEGO friends figurines and the diner itself. I believe Lego to be quite pricy at times but this set is great value for money. My daughter loved help constructing it, she&rsquo;s 5 so needed some support from myself.
