My daughter loves kinetic sand and the theme that each set has. But this one I found is more of a travel set, one where it doesnt take a lot of room in bag or luggage. But one thing that my daughter and I wasnt a fan of was the confetti that came with it. My daughter didnt like that her confetti wasnt staying with the sand, and was trying to make sure she didnt lose any by picking it up one by one. Then I found pieces here and there afterwards while checking her clean up. Dont get us wrong, we thought the confetti was cute with the fishes, and turtles. But for a toy that is supposed to be no mess, it was a little messy. It has little stamper lids that my daughter can use while playing that we liked. They had a blast user the stampers included on either end of the tube to make creations with the sand, but I think their favorite part was adding the confetti included within the tube. It made it more decorative and pretty. We were quite sure the purpose of the tube itself other than to hold the sand so that was a bit disappointing. Overall it's a fun addition to add to their collection of kinetic sand more than it is something to really play with on its own. In addition to the sand, it also came with a tiny surfboard, a package of glitter confetti (ice cream cones, shells, and happy faces), and there were molds inside either end of the tube (a beach ball on one end, and concentric jagged rings on the other end, reminiscent of old beach umbrellas). The glitter confetti added a new element of fun (what kid doesn't love glitter) as it made the sand more interesting and shinier! She was very excited when she saw the tube. We opened the end with the stencils and confetti first. She was intrigued. We received the candy themed confetti to mix in. I couldn't figure out how to get the kentic sand out of the other end of the tube, so I ended up using a utensil to scoop it out. My child was thrown off by the texture at first, but ended up enjoying it. She really liked using the stencils, and there are additional stencils built into both of the lids. The confetti was an interesting aspect. I kind of think there was too much confetti included, my child sprinkled about half of the package into the sand, and the rest was just kind of left off to the side. I can see the appeal of the confetti though. I'm sure other children might enjoy the confetti more. * My child has played with the kenetic sand multiple times now and really seems to enjoy it. It's a great sensory activity and there are lots of different games and activities that you can incorporate the kentic sand into. Overall I was really glad we got to try out this product. So we were excited to be chosen to test this new product. When it arrived I was expecting it to be bigger than what it was. In the tube there were two colours yellow and green and there was 2 ounces of each colour. Also in the tube was a package of sprinkles which were very cute bears and candy pieces, a bonus tool which was a small mold with 3 shapes and on the end of the tube there were two caps which were stampers. Getting the sand out of the tube was a little difficult for smaller hands and fingers. I wish there was a push up to help get it out. Our little loved putting the sprinkles in the sand and mixing it up but we found the sprinkles didnt stay in the sand they kept falling out. But maybe after playing with it more they will stick better. I am glad we had other kits that she could take molds from as there was only the one small one in the tube. Overall she had fun playing with it and liked the sprinkles. I think with a few modifications like a push up or a spoon to take sand out and another mold this would be a great little kit. The Kinectic Sand Flowfetti Tube was a big hit for her. She enjoyed opening the package and tube. The sand was really packed in the tube, so required a bit of help to get it out. The sand was very soft and easy to play with/mold. We did find that the 2 colours merged and the yellow disappeared, leaving only a neon green colour. The included molds made great shapes, and we discovered later that the tops of the tube also could make shapes - they act like stampers. I found that the confetti did not stick very well into the sand, so have been finding confetti pieces all over the floor. Overall we are pleased with this toy. It has provided my daughter with fun play time, and allowed her to be creative. I would purchase this again, dependent on the price.
