The kinetic sand came in a 4oz tube with sparkly mix-ins and a little cookie cutter. Theres not a lot to work with so the activity doesnt last a long time before they get bored. We found the black sand to be really tough, Im not sure if its because of the tube design and it got aired out because the purple seemed okay. All in all we liked the toy for a short activity to keep busy in between activities or on the go. The tube it came in was convenient and is a nice feature to store the sand. It was all of the extras that we found didnt really need to be there. The confetti would immediately fall out of the sand and be all over the place. The end of the tubes had stamps in them which was neat. Each one also comes with a little toy to support the theme of the tube. Overall not impressed. And honestly even I as an adult had so much fun with it. I I loved how small and compact the tube was is a perfect item to bring on a long trip or to just throw in your bag for the perfect time. And I liked that the theme is a surprise as an added to the overall fun of the toy. my kids enjoyed using their imagination and creating and playing with the tube. It is very easy to clean up and store and use for another day of play. I love as a parent that I dont have to worry about what surface it may cling on to as the sand if very easy to clean up! Overall my 5 year old had so much fun just mixing all the ingredients and creating their own masterpiece in the tube! The only downfall I found to this toy was that the concept isnt very self explanatory. At first I had thought it was a storage container but after reading the description I realized the concept was to use the tube to create a a sensory like tube. Overall I think this a really great concept and love toys that come with self storage. My only other wish is that the it came with more items to mix as there is not enough mixins to make it look covered in confetti as expected. My daughter is already a fan of kinetic sand so I knew this was going to be a hit. The tube comes fully covered so you don't know which theme you have until it's open which is a great twist. We received the space theme which included star confetti to mix into the black and purple sand. The tube is double sided with stampers as caps and a rocket shovel/mold added to the fun. I give it 4 stars because I had to add a bit of water to the outside sand colour because it was hard and a bit dried out - easy fix.
