It doesn’t like like it does in the picture when they have played with it but they enjoyed it non the less and we’re very happy with the creations they made. I would definitely recommend giving them a large tray to put it in whilst playing as it can get pretty messy. The colours are also all mixed up after the first time playing with it - however it has not put mine off playing with it al all.</span>

I absolutely fell in love with the idea of creative, educational and fun ways to play for my son so this has been a massive hit. This product helps to stimulate your child’s imagination as they are able to create many different shapes and mix and combine colours together. My son had so much fun using the tools to squeeze out the sand and using the spoons to cut out his preferred shapes to build his masterpiece which he is super proud off. My kid loved the texture of kinetic sand and the colors that came along in the package. But as for being able to create something, he needed guidance despite showing the product video on YouTube. Having tried a few combinations, it left him bored. So he left the tools and started playing with it as you would play dough leaving a mess along the way. My kid is 4 so he can clean up when instructed to but since the product is rated for 3+, Im not sure it will work for such younger kids. As for my kid, he still likes to jump around more so I will wait out a bit before reintroducing this. Meanwhile if theres an adult out there who loves to create, this could be fun for them.</span>

Clasping the pieces closed, and pushing out the items was hard for him, therefore his final product wasn't as clean as the picture made it seem to be. The sand was also harder then what I remember from Kinetic Sand. Don't know if it is because of this slice and surprise that they needed it that hard, but not as enjoyable as I thought it would have been. Also the instructions were very hard to read. It was like they tried to fit as much as possible on this card, but due to that used a really narrow font, and cheaper ink (as it was blurry). In that case would have almost been better to provide a QR code and gone step by step that way.</span>

The kinetic sand is a great alternative. They loved the kit so much that I purchased more. My 4 year old will sit at the table for hours playing with it. The consistency is so awesome. It melts out of your hands but sticks together. It can be molded and used like wet sand at the beach. The only down size is that it is a bit messy but our rule is that it stays at the table only. And a little mess is a small price to pay for the hours of entertainment.</span>

This product was a hit for him because he kept touching to feel the colored soil and even had some molded in his palm for a long time. This almost became a distraction to actually doing the activity needed with the soil. However, with supervision and guidance,we were able to mold and slice the soil...thereby revealing those amazing combination of colors. It is abit complex for my kid, so we as parents have to join him whenever he needs to play with it and since we have a baby, creating this time might be challenging. However, we will make the time to have fun as much as possible, as a family.</span>

We found it a bit hard to push the core though the sand mold. But after a few times, we got the hang of it. My daughter loved seeing the sand roll creation and slicing into it. This has kept her busy for literally an hour at a time. She really enjoys mixing the colours together and slicing it to make pretend food. It keeps her entertained and I especially like that its not sticky and is relatively easy to clean up (unlike play dough which sticks to everything and gets stuck in clothes).</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We havent played with kinetic sand before so this was our first time with it. Its really neat! Kind of like play dough in a lot of ways. Definitely toddler approved.
A parent will need to help with assembly of the tools but my toddler could use them herself.
The instructions that come with it are really hard to read and have the tiniest print so it took a while for us to figure out what we were doing with it. Obviously being an open-ended toy, there is no right/wrong way to play with kinetic sand but it wouldve been helpful to be able to actually read what the instructions said. There are pictures which helped us.
All in all its a neat product and we had fun with it. It kept my three year olds attention for about 45 minutes. Thats a win.</span>

We had a blast squishing, slicing, and building together with it. <span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's fun to touch and manipulate the kinetic sand for sensory play and I love that it holds its shape if you want to build things. This is cleaner than playing with actual sand but little grains of sand can and do escape from the pile if you don't keep track. I was hoping that you could keep the colours separated after you mash different colours together, but unfortunately the sand gets mixed together. It doesn't have an offensive smell. The colour doesn't transfer onto fingers but I haven't played long enough to see if it's safe on surfaces or cloth materials.
I like that the box comes with suggestions on how to play with the kinetic sand with all the necessary tools to squeeze through the tube and/or cut into discs. I think this would be a good accompaniment kit for someone who maybe already has many different colours of kinetic sand or other kits so they can combine them into different creations and put them into the provided plastic tool. I find this stuff fascinatingI can't stop touching it and I think it will be fun to find new ways to play with it. I haven't looked but it would be nice if they made a kinetic sand storage compartment since the box just has the sand in small clear plastic bags which instructs you not to re-use. This kit specifically seems better for people who may not be as imaginative or creative since it tells you how to play with it, but it doesn't mean you can't do whatever you want with the sand.</span>
