Ker Plunk is a fun game that's easy to play for a wide range of ages of children. I was not impressed with the quality of the game itself. The plastic pieces felt cheap/ flimsy and I know it won't last with long term usage. It's pretty straightforward, put the sticks in and try to keep the marbles from falling when you pull them out. It's very easy to set up and play, and my 5 and 7 year olds had no problems playing the game by themselves without any help understanding the instructions. The main downside, especially compared to the &quot;old geezer&quot; version is that the sticks are very thin and therefore they can be a little hard for the kids to get them in, they're not so good at holding up the marbles and unfortunately they're also easily breakable. The box is also not very strong and I had to get a zip-lock to put the pieces in. Set up the sticks to make a tangled web of support and then put all those marbles on top. Pull the sticks out, one by one, and try not to let any drop! The one who drops the least number of marbles when all of the sticks are out is the winner! It can take a bit of time to set it up, as it can be difficult to get all of the sticks into position, especially the last few when you need to insert them around all of the ones already in there. But, once it's set up, it's a suspenseful and fun time trying to avoid letting the marbles fall! The only caveat I'll put to this game is that turning the gameboard, as required for the game, is a bit awkward and harder for little ones to do, so they may need adult help until they get the hang of it. There isn&rsquo;t a way to change players without making the marbles all drop. Overall if the plastic was stronger and easier to move it would be better. The only thing that I didn&rsquo;t care for was the holes that the sticks went into because they were tedious to get in.
