The skin is bumpy like a reptile and includes markings and razor looking teeth, but not scary or intimidating for younger children. It makes a roar when you click and moves either forward or turns in a circle with 2 clicks. I think this is a great toy for a younger audience and is best enjoyed when playing with two Click Tracker toys so you can watch them both move at the same time so that you can race them or make them crash into each other! Once battery was installed, the toy did not work as described or advertised. Kind of disappointing to my kids. The clicker was fun to push even before we put the battery in. He enjoyed playing with it but thought the legs looked weird and should be more separate from the body. We opened it and I inserted the batteries. I did nit realize it takes three AAA batteries and the instructions and toy do not make it clear where the third battery goes. He does love showing it off moving and roaring as does my niece. It did not take either of them long to figure out how to play with it. They just press the clicker and it goes. The only other issue I do have is the clicker is louder than expected. You can collect one of 4 different dinosaurs, which you &quot;train&quot; with a remote clicker to move. One click makes the dino move forward, and two clicks makes it spin quickly. If you collect more than one, you can make them all move at the same time with one clicker. We got the Atrociraptor. The dino: The product doesn't come with batteries, so you'll need to add those (3 AAAs). My kids found it hilarious that the batteries go into a compartment on the dino's rear. The toy feels slightly weighted, so it balances well and fits in your hand for easy movement. Small wheels on the bottom are rubberized. They work best on a flat, even surface. The details on the toy are very well done. You can clearly see each wrinkle, muscle, scale, and bump, and the stripes are shiny and well painted. There is even some detail underneath. The little arms can move slightly. The speaker underneath is large and open, so you can hear the dinosaur roars easily. The remote: The click is nice and loud. The button has nice &quot;fidgetability;&quot; it has a little whir as you click it and a textured design on the actual button, so it's fun to press. The remote fits easily in any size hand, and has interesting shapes that make it easy to grip. It's a lot of fun to watch the little dinosaur move and spin quickly, and I imagine it would be even more fun with multiple ones. We did notice that it can get easily triggered in a loud room (it reacted to a verbal click, shout, or the dog barking), and that debris and pet hair can quickly get wrapped up in the wheelwells underneath, so it's best to make sure you're using it on a clean surface. Easy to use just click the button on the remote it spins and raws and moves forward. Small but big fun works fine on floors without carpet.
