My son loves playing with it. The Little People can hop aboard for a ride as the conductor drives along! I thought this toy would be a little young for my 4-year-old, and in some ways it is. He plays with it on occasion but I think it would be best suited for a 2-year-old. My son loves the songs that the train plays and he is constantly pushing the button on it while playing with it so he can hear them over and over. The front of the train has a light that shines and he thinks that is really cool. One negative is I feel like it is hard to keep the two cars joined together, unless I'm doing something wrong. My son was so excited when we opened the box. The toy was out of its package in about 3 minutes. He has had so much fun driving the train around our house, and making it play the songs and phrases. I want to point out that the audio teaches kids about manners and encourages them to be polite. They can never be reminded of that too many times. He has had fun using the people provided with the toy, and also adding in his other toys. (A dinosaur driving? Sure! Delivering a train full of building blocks? Why not!) As is the case with most little boys, he is fascinated by trains. I like this one the best out of the train sets he has right now. The toy is well made. It feels sturdy enough to stand up to a little rough playing. It is cute and fun, while sneaking in a lesson on manners. He loves trains! He played with this for a while. He really likes switching the little people in and out of the different seats. His only complaint was that he wished there were more people! It has a variety of sayings/songs so you don't constantly have to hear the same thing over and over again. I also like that he has to physically move the train around. With all the toys these days they do everything for you so kids can't really use their imagination. Overall it's a great toy. The two parts of the train disconnect, which worked out great, so one child could play with one part of the train and one person, while the other child the other half. The kids also like how their other Little People figures can be added to the train. It works well with their other playsets and their imaginative play. I like how the characters, when put in the train teach manners. That is an added benefit of this toy. I also like how it is unisex, so both boys and girls enjoy playing with the train. It is nice how the train is also simple, there's not many pieces to misplace or get lost. My kids have brought it in the car numerous times, so I appreciate this feature.
