He plays with it in the bath, the toy will float in the water, it doesnt sink. He played with it in land but since it&rsquo;s a submarine he liked to play with it in the tub. It has a cockpit for Batman to drive and a mini jail cell in the back for the bad guys. Super well constructed and lots of fun. Also, the pincers work great when you're holding it up, but setting it on the ground (we have a very thin rug that covers our wood flooring) caused the pincers to not move much. My son is 5 and my daughter who is 3 absolutely loved it. The front of the sub has a clear compartment to put the character in. They were easily able to open and close it and as they moved the toy around - it didn&rsquo;t open. Another thing my kids loved was the compartment in the back that you enclose a character in as well. The best thing about the toy is the app the imagineer characters can fit. My son was able to stand different characters on the top of the sub and into the compartment. They have been playing with this toy everyday since we received it. The only thing we weren&rsquo;t too sure of was the two claws in front- not really sure what they are for. You can&rsquo;t really open or close them? My kids still used them to capture bad guys but it would have been nice to see them open/ close or move more efficiently. We are so happy with imaginext products and we will continue to purchase them. Both my younger children were able to use their imagination and discover all the secret things you can turn and move on this sub that kept the toy exciting. My boys like the jail in the back of the batsub and the grabber claws. This toy goes along good with the imaginext batman tower that my boys have. Been playing with this one nonstop :) the propellers rotate well, the pinchers pinch.
