My daughter loves how the mermaid tail looks compared to other mermaid dolls that she owns, it is large and very colorful. Hubby said a little difficult to remove from packaging and to ensure battery is watersealed. But once that was done, the little one hasn't put it down since arriving! Pretends Ariel is swimming while singing along and loves to pat the curly hair. Very cute introduction to The Little Mermaid. Her friend came for a play date and couldn't stop playing and singing along with Ariel either! It only has some twists on top of straight hair (her hair is like this in the movie). And her singing is lovely. The audio lasts 30 seconds and is so clear. Its pretty cool that there is so much detail to the doll: the scales on her tail and bodice, the fins, the shells in her belt, and the twists in her hair!
