The actual toy is small, small enough to carry in a handbag, would be great to entertain in queues, airports, GP surgeries etc. The fight mechanism is robust but simple, my 5 year old easily mastered it, as did my husband with his chunky fingers. It all got abit competitive and I predict more battle figures appearing on our Christmas lists. The akedo power storm characters are so much fun and have had all 3 kids battling not only with them but for them too! I love that they put kids and grownups on a level playing field too so we could all get a chance of winning fair and square I can see this being a big hit at Christmas time for not only kids but grownups too as there is minimal to no set up required they can be put together by the kids and are nice and pocket sized meaning they can go everywhere as a great bit of fun wherever they are! They got bored of it really quickly as it wasn&rsquo;t stuck to anything so the figures kept moving around. They couldn&rsquo;t keep the figures close enough to hit each other for very long and they never manage to find a winner as they couldn&rsquo;t get the heads to break open like they&rsquo;re meant to. They got bored of it really quickly and only played rate for about 15 minutes. Our 6 year old and nearly 3 year old, can use them easily. Love the different characters, with the names and accessories. Have kept my two entertained for hours! They love making up a battle and doing them together. Really easy to put back together and battle each other again. Love that they are a great size and can be taken out with us for trips. We had a family meal last week and brought these along, kept them busy and happy during waiting for our food to come. Found there's an equal winning to them so it doesn't matter which character you are either. These would be really good to buy for a present for a friend or a stocking filler. The little battle figures come with a base that is easy to attach. Once you have done this you are ready to commence battle, just pull the lever back and forth and the figure spins and punches. The stronger figure wins when the other one comes apart. Its really easy to reset and off you go again into battle. The whole family young and old loved these figures and had hours of fun battling each other and the children couldn't wait to have friends over to battle too. The figures come in two parts but my kids found it to easy to put together. It also includes instructions and a collector guide.You can collect from six elements of power: water, fire, earth, light, shadow and lightning and the figures are labelled classic, epic, ultra rare, legendary and power striker. Each figure is designed to attack, enable the 'split strike' on their opponent. You can play in two battling mode either follow the basic game rules or the official game rules. These figures have been a hit in my house and we have had so much fun that we added more figures to our collection. As a 6 year old he did struggle to clip the Akedo onto the base and I needed to help but he'll get the hang of it. He battled straight away with his sister and loves the split attacks but because we had one 'classic' Akedo and one 'epic', we found that the epic always beat the classic which does get a bit predictable (from a mum's point of view)! My youngest son is 5 and I am not sure who enjoyed this more, him of his 19 year old brother! We love the feature where the fighters break because it shows a clear winner of the battle! They are also nice and compact so good to take out and about and will keep little fingers busy.
