It took off and it allows you to control it with your hand because it &quot;senses&quot; your hand and goes up from it. It isn't 100% possible to control it though, so it does experience crash landings. My son and husband were figuring it out when it crashed and the little arm came off but it actually broke off. It is a toy that is so different from other ones he has. It was easy to fly after he got the hang of the controls.
