It charges fast and the remote is a nice addition making it easy for my son to turn on and off (there is also a main switch on the toy itself). The remote has to be pointed at the helicopter to work. The durability is impressive; it took a couple of hits and kept working perfectly, just turning back on with a quick flip of the switch. The remote control range is great, and the battery charges fast and lasts a long time, giving him plenty of playtime. The flight is stable and smooth, which makes it even more fun to use indoors. From the first time they tried it, they have shrieked and giggled. They have been asked to play with it every night after school and daycare. At 3.5&rdquo;, this product is easily stored in our outdoor toy bin. The remote consists only of an &ldquo;on/off&rdquo; button. There is no way to actually control where the product flies off to. In our tiny backyard, it has stayed in the parameters due to the tree canopy and luck. Also, it has not broken after many crashes both in grass and on cement. While my children absolutely love it, it&rsquo;s going to become a park toy only.
