You can go from floor sitting to stand up playing. I started out on the floor with my granddaughter at I'd 6 months old and can sit well in her own. I propped the table &quot;without&quot; the legs on a pillow so she could get to all the activities. There are plenty of activities to keep baby entertained, lights, sounds, soft touch, to banging and working on all fine motor skills. I think it's a little quiet compared to other toys, even on high volume I had to turn the tv off to hear and play with baby. The xylophone is cute but doesn't sound like a true xylophone. I like the mini phone comes off the table baby's like to remove things and take them along. Over all this is a great toy that you can get many miles out of because it can grow with your baby. There are 4 activity area's on the table. An alligator that is a xylophone and sensory center, an elephant that teaches colors, numbers, and shapes, a turtle that teaches colors and fruit, and a lion that is a soft book for a sensory soother. There is also a flower in the center with each of the animals on it that talks, lights up, and instructs your little one to find certain points on the table. It's intended for children 6 months and up. We started out without the legs and just had it sitting on the floor because she isn't standing on her own yet. We just turn it from one station to the next depending on which area she is interested in. But we also are using it with the legs on to get her practice standing. She has so much fun with the table. She is able to find the colors and shapes when prompted now, which is helping her learn valuable information. It is so much fun watching her interact with it and playing at the table with her. It has become her favorite toy.
