I is a very simple toy, but looks very well made and sturdy, I think if it is not thrown around too much (which is exactly what happens) it can last a very long time. I'll definitely be looking at getting some more of these in different looks. The size of the car is a decent size. My son and daughter can both grasp the car in their hands and move it around easily.(4 year old, 2 year old). As an adult it was very simple for me to figure the transformation between truck to dinosaurs. My 4 year old took about 4 times to get the nag of it. She really loved learning how to make the switch. It's intuitive and easy to transform between the two and it was a nice surprise that the sounds triggered by the two buttons change depending upon if it's a car or T-Rex. It's rugged so rough play hasn't broken anything on it. The car is large enough for little hands to move and grab. It also does not have many little parts that can be swallowed easily by younger siblings. The transformation from T-Rex to a truck can take a few times to figure out for a young child, but our child figured it out well after help from dad. There are two buttons that make sounds and the front lights ups as It talks. The words are clear and toned for a child&rsquo;s imagination and excitement to play. Our kids love this toy and take it with them on short car rides. My oldest (who is now a teen), used to have them all back when they first came out. We loved them then, although some were a little difficult to change over, some broke easily and some had a lot of glitches with the voices. I am so happy to see they have made a comeback...and from our experience with this new one...they are better than ever! I got Claw the T-Rex, who changes into an offroad truck. He is fairly small, but a good size for my 4 year old. He (my 4yr old) is both dino and car obsessed, and when he saw this guy in the package (it was in dino mode), his eyes got huge...he completely lost it when he figured out it transformed into a truck. Let's just say this is his new favorite toy. It's a really cool toy that any kid, boy or girl, would love! Like I said, it's the perfect size for his little hands to easily control. There are two buttons that you can press to control the sounds. In dino mode he roars randomly a few times. You can press one button to change roars (I think there are 2 or 3 different roars). The other button makes him talk and he says quite a few different phrases. In truck mode it's the same. One button controls car sounds (engine revving, tires squealing, fast driving sounds), the other button switches between phrases. If you don't play with him for a few seconds he automatically powers off. It's so easy to switch between dino and truck mode. My 4 year old has no problems what-so-ever switching. The best part is the toy is very well made. My 4 year old is rough on his toys (what 4 year old boy isn't!) and it's held up perfectly. It's been dropped from fairly high places, stepped on, kicked..you name it, and it's held up...not even a scuff mark. I am so happy to see Switch and Go Dinos are making a comeback! I have a feeling I'll be seeing a lot more of these around the house...and frankly, I love it!
