It isn't one of their favorite toys, but they at least play with it a few times a week. My kids mostly play with it inside the house, but they will take it outside also. The wheels roll well on most surfaces. My kids can use it easily on gravel, concrete, dirt, and carpet. The wheels don't roll well on hardwood flooring, but my kids can still push it easily. It is disappointing that it doesn't roll well on grass unless the grass is short. My kids always try to pretend that they are mowing the grass, but it won't move on the grass unless it is freshly cut. There is a learning mode and music mode. It has a switch to toggle on the side of the mower between the two different mode types. It also has a switch to change the volume level. The learning mode has tidbits of information about mowing. My children never use the buttons because it turns off after about 30 seconds of not being pressed. After it turns off, you have to toggle the switch for it to turn on again, but my children don't understand that. It was very simple to assemble. It took me less than 10 minutes.</span>

By that I mean, its not the usual, number, song or color recognition that I typically buy for my toddlers. However, what it does well is teach my kids about recycling and other socially responsible actions which honestly, I probably wouldn't have covered at this stage. My toddler loves the fact that he has a toy that is his height and that he can walk with. He loves the fact that the mower cord when pulled, actually makes the sound of a lawn mower. When he pushes it around, the sparkly blades rotate to give the feel that it is actually mowing. It does have colored buttons which when pushed, plays a song that includes a reference to a colored item a toddler should know.
For the parent stuff, the lawn mower is easy to assemble. I found the instructions to be straight forward. It took about 10 minutes for me to set up and my toddler was able to help by putting the stickers in place. Overall, for me this has been a Mom lifesaver. I have a busy toddler and this toy keeps him busy and out of trouble while I do household chores. I would highly recommend this toy.</span>

VTech is currently coming out with a few things on the toy market. The VTech pop and spin mower is one. There really isn't much to it. I have a 3-year-old who loves to push it everywhere. I will say he does not use the buttons as much as I thought he would but they are nice little accessories. The realistic pull cord is a unique feature that seems durable enough for the strength of a toddler. Different and cute with the caution button that when pushed helps identify mower safety. I got to admit though it feels a little odd in my mind. Sing along is of course a must along with colors. There is a lot of toys with this function and it's kind of a necessity with baby and toddler toys. Sturdy material and very easy to assemble. I don't really like the battery operated toys too much unless I have rechargeable to put in. I find it helpful that if a child is not in the walking stage it can also be used as a sit and play toy.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so cute! My 2 year old loves pushing it around. He is always trying to be helpful and he loves getting to "mow" the grass. We also uses it inside and he pushes it on the floor and plays with the buttons on the top. There is a plastic piece that spins like a mower when it is pushed. Pushing it also pops the colorful balls that are close to the handle.
Assembly was quick but did need a philips screwdriver for 2 screws on each side of the handle. The bottom of the handle just snapped right in to the base. There were also 4 stickers to go on the mower and handle.</span>

My kid (as always) want to do the same thing as what i do and when it comes to heavy machinery like mowing, i tend to keep him away which he don't like. He is 3 years old and loves his new vtech pop and spin mower. I usually ask him to follow me with his new kid version behind me and he thinks and his toy is mowing grass. I don't disagree. As far the product goes, assembly was fast with readable and easy to understand instructions. I like the quality of the product as all other vtech toys. With vibrant colors and soft grip handle it looks great.</span>

The balls that pop when it's pushed is a big hit. There's buttons to push, a knob to turn, string to pull and a blade spins as it's pushed. All kinds of learning things plus songs. Lots of fun! I let them take turns "pretending" to mow the grass. They have so much fun and think they are helping dad out.</span>
