Not only the kids liked it but the adults liked it too. There are many different games that you can play. You basically strap this onto your arm and it's ready to go. There's good instructions included with this that explain how each game works and how you set them up. Each unit takes two double a batteries and they last a really long time. The kids have really enjoyed playing with these and like I said we as adults also played with them and it was a lot of fun. This is something the whole family can enjoy even though it's intended for kids. This brand makes such high quality toys for children and a lot of them are good learning toys. They are always very well made and it's a great company that I trust when I buy products from them. This would be a great gift for birthdays and holidays. There are 10 different games, ranging for a single player to 4 players. The set is very easy to use. There is a mini pamphlet that comes with it but don't worry if you lose the pamphlet because the instructions for each game will be verbally reviewed each time. I do agree at least one of the players should be at least 5 years or older to understand the instructions. However, younger siblings can play too as long as they are not the main player; although the arm straps might be too big for them. There are 4 units, the red one is the main unit; it controls game choice and the number of players. I would say this can be fun for all ages. I enjoyed playing it with my kids. They got wild! Note: As a single player, you can only play one game. They love going out to play hide and seek outside and this toy made a simple game, so much more fun. I love that they are playing outside more and with this Nextag, they can play a variety of games. It comes with four electronic units and wristbands, so they can have their friends over to play with them. Best of all, these electronic units also give the instructions to them for each game they would like to play. They tried to follow the directions when asked what game to play &amp; what activity it was asking of them and they said the game would start over without even beginning. Unfortunately, since they couldn&rsquo;t understand the games, they became bored rather quickly. This requires 8 AA batteries (not included), 2 for each arm band. You will need a screwdriver to remove the two screws (in each). The arm band is adjustable and has a stretchy elastic which fits around the upper part of the arm. I really wish I could give this a higher rating because I really thought my kids would love this tag game. They want to play with them so bad but it ends up being a headache. The pro is it makes my kids want to get outside and play! The problem is half the time they are trying be outside and playing, they are messing with these devices trying to get it right. Could be good for older kids that might otherwise not get outside but it has to be a small yard to work. We have a couple acres so I have to tell the kids to stay within a smaller area bc it can&rsquo;t reach the full yard. If one runs around front of the house, it&rsquo;s out of range and disconnects from the game. The red one is the leader of the game and has to play for it to work. The rules/directions are only announced on the red - it would be better if it was announced on all included in the game simultaneously. The on/off button is too easy to accidentally press during set up and then you have to start all over with the red unit to get someone back into the game. It would be better if you had to hold on/off for several seconds so it isn&rsquo;t accidentally pressed. My kids enjoyed the single player games so that&rsquo;s a plus. For plain tag, these aren&rsquo;t worth the extra effort IMO. Also no more &ldquo; no you didn&rsquo;t tag me&rdquo; cause vtech also fixed that! When playing tag you push the button so it knows how many players and then it tells you which color is it! It&rsquo;s so much fun and gets the kids active ! There&rsquo;s a few games and my daughter loves playing the one where it tells you which color and what sequence to follow. Perfect to keep kids busy whether it&rsquo;s one or four the kids are gonna have an absolute blast. They easily slip on arm band and tighten then the one who has the red band easily picks the game. My kids love playing tag and all the other favorites, and NexTag has them all. I like that you get 4 of them and different colors. The straps don't stay tight on my kids' arms and we are having to tighten them constantly, but that's my only issue. It gives directions on each device how to play and whoever is the leader will light up.
