The character of Speedy is super cute! He lights up and says lots of phrases and racing sounds. The track is very colorful and bright and customizable. We tried each of the three configurations without trouble. What I loved was how easy the track pieces snapped together and stayed in place. It's fun to race contestants in dual track or connect all the pieces for one long track. We also used other cars we had on the track for added fun. My daughter even pretended the race track was a slide and we had fun sending figures down the big track. Upon opening, we played for over an hour! It zooms down the track and he is able to maneuver and release it all by himself which as you can imagine, a two year old wants to do it all b y himself. This has been a big hit, he loves it! Another great toy from Vtech. My son is 16-months-old and really into cars right now.... so much so that his first phrase was &ldquo;VA VA VA&rdquo; for Va-Va-Vrooom! I was GOING to put this away for Christmas, but the little yellow car accidentally started playing music and making sounds as I was testing it out.... which prompted my son to come RUNNING to check it out. I&rsquo;m a bit of a pushover so it&rsquo;s officially his to play with now! It was fairly easy to put together, except the connector pieces (aka adapters) were a bit tough to snap together in some places. It seems to be getting easier the more we use it (which worries me a bit; will they get TOO loose over time and not stay together?? Time will tell). The fun thing about this is that you can actually create three different tracks with the pieces provided. All three are super easy to build. My 3 year old was even able put the pieces together. The pieces just snap together to make each design. I don&rsquo;t feel that the pieces stay together that well under the hands of toddlers but if they are shown how to set the car down gently it seems to hold up well. I do love the primary colors. It makes it very visually stimulating. The little car makes a ton of different sounds and sayings. It doesn&rsquo;t go very fast or far once it leaves the track but that&rsquo;s not always a bad thing for this age group. I think this toy is stimulating enough to keep a child engaged for a while but I can see where it can get boring quickly. There aren&rsquo;t any small parts that cause choking hazards for the littles which is a huge plus but like I said previously, it does not stay together very well if played with a little too hard. That&rsquo;s why I gave it only 3 stars. The car that is included is fun and interactive that sings and says phrases. The raceway was fairly simple to put together, you can put it together three different ways. It included a small instruction book but with only one set of word instructions and the other two ways of putting it together only had pictures of the end result. The instructions did label each piece with a letter so that made it easier to put it together. I loved how it took me almost no time to get it ready for my daughter. I just had to place a few stickers and it was ready to go. The pieces even had indentations to show me exactly where to place them. I love when the prep work for toys is so simple. As a parent I always worry that toys that make noise will get too annoying but this one isn&rsquo;t very loud. It&rsquo;s also easy to turn the sound off on the car with a little switch on the bottom. It can be played with whether the sound is turned on or off. My youngest daughter is 3 years old and she adores cars. She&rsquo;s been wanting her own car race track and this one is perfect for her. The pieces go together and come apart easy enough that she can do it herself. I really like how this set has multiple configurations for the track. It can even be set up to race two cars if you have other VTech smart wheels cars. We tried out all the different configurations of the track and they were all fun. She loved how she could race the car down the track without any help since it&rsquo;s so simple to just lift the platform and let it go. The car itself is really cute. She loves how it talks and sings when you do different things with it. Her favorite feature was that it will rev its engine when you push on the top button. It fits well on the track and rolls really easily. It&rsquo;s a good size for her to play with and I don&rsquo;t have to worry about any parts being too small. I was looking for a simple ramp for my 18 month old to use with his cars and settled on this one because of the price and because some of the cars he has are VTech Go! Go! cars. Perhaps he's still a bit young for it, but these toys are suggested for ages 1-5. The colors are bright and I like that it has two points that make the cars talk. It's also nice that you can arrange them different ways. However, when you have it setup as one long track like in one of the stock photos, it is very wobbly in the middle. The tracks snap into one another and they short of snap into the yellow platform holding them up, but it's not a very firm snap on any of the pieces. I guess this is so it is easy for kids to change the arrangement of the tracks without help, but it makes the ramp wobbly. It keeps falling over or falling apart and then I have to put it back together for my little one every 2 minutes making this a parent-kid activity and not a toy that he can play with independently, which is what I was hoping for. When you put the tracks together as one ramp on top of the other (in the other stock photo) it's probably 50% more stable, but the LONG ramp is much more exciting to play with.
