It creates easy to see stars on the ceiling, although u recommend it being places in the middle of the room, otherwise only a corner of the room will have stars shining on the ceiling. It feels like a very durable toy and doesn't have any small parts that can be dangerous to a little one. It also feels high quality, right down to the removable penguin plush. It fits well into the igloo and is a clever set for a baby or toddler. It requires two AA batteries that are included for demo purposes. The two volume levels are acceptable, although the voice singing could have been a bit sweeter. My toddler doesn't like the singing but likes the stars a lot., and especially the penguin that can be carried around.</span>

There’s an automatic timer to set the music play time, volume and light controls to have perfect brightness and sound levels. My son has Autism and he’s hyperactive and is infatuated with lights and sounds music/ nature sounds. This put him to sleep earlier than normal, I could not believe it. Will definitely get a lot of use out of this adorable penguin with igloo. Btw, it actually worked on me too, I suffer from insomnia lately and wow. <span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is adorable but I don’t entirely understand some of the settings because they seem to, well, do the same thing lol nature mode makes sense (it’s just like crickets/ocean noise) but night mode and music mode confuse me. If I’m honest I’d much rather there not be any vocals whatsoever. I don’t think any baby really finds any voice soothing that isn’t their mom or dads or someone they are with often. I also think this toy is a bit more stimulating for night time because of the vocals. It has a timer on back with 3 options. 15/30/45 minutes. It says it is cry activated as well but not entirely sure how that works. The stuffy penguin is my babies favorite so far. Really easy for her to grab . When you take it out of its igloo you hear like a little plop noise and same when you put it back inside. The projector has a few colors it changes from and it works pretty well overall. Overall I don’t see this really soothing my velcro baby to sleep. Is it cute? Absolutely. For us it’s more a toy and I’ll use the projector at night beside the crib.</span>

I at first thought it would be a little too young for him (he’s 3) but he’s been struggling with naps and bedtime - being scared and wanting to sleep with mom and dad but this little penguin will be his little bedroom companion.
