It&rsquo;s sings and plays music and reads stories. It&rsquo;s really nicely made and has withstand her throwing it down daily. There are pieces that move and lights which I think helps intrigue her and keep her entertained. It arrived really fast in the mail and was packaged ok but definitely could've been put inside of a cardboard box instead of a plastic mailer, which I didn't appreciate because it actually came crushed inside the packaging and I'm very lucky the product still worked even though it's original packaging had been crushed on it's way to me. I will also say that this does show that the product is very durable &amp; can handle whatever my little one will throw at it. I hate that it had to happen that way, but it's nice knowing that even after the Animal Rhymes Music Book went through all that &amp; it still worked, it gives me hope that it'll always work even if my little one beats it to death. On another positive note, I love all the lights &amp; music &amp; songs. It's gotta super cute characters on it as well. The bright lit up star on the front is my favorite though. The bright colors are also super nice! You have an on/off switch that also let's you choose to hear songs or just the musical instruments which is great as well. It's definitely made well. I know there's nothing that could harm my little one on it either. The biggest win is that my little one loves it! Even my 5 year old likes it. So it's another win for VTech! I do recommended this cute little electronic book for anyone with a little one. They'll love it. It's for any little one as well which is nice. You don't have to worry about whether or not it is gender specific. It's super cute, made very well, seems to stand up to a whole lot at this point and it's really fun. I love watching my little ones eyes light up every single time they play with it. They do love it. So will yours &amp; you will as well. Plus it's super easy to use &amp; I believe all little ones will never have a problem using it.
