The game is easy to learn, but difficult to master. The excitement of completing a game (one game = one school year = one of the novels) and opening the next is overwhelming! This is NOT a quick sit down and play kind of game. It's in depth, challenging and created by people who clearly understand the Harry Potter world and its inhabitants. It may be difficult for some children, unless they have previous experience with tabletop gaming. The kids love it. You work together to defeat the villains before they take over the locations. It gets harder as you play each game as it seems the villains are put together so you have to defeat the villains from game 1 again along with game 2 villains. My nephew is 9 and my niece is 7. They bot loved the game. He was going to be here a week. THIS IS ALL WE DID THE ENTIRE WEEK!! If you love Harry Potter, and love board games, you will want this one! Rules are easy to learn and each level builds on the previous one. Fun as a Four player game, but I agree with another reviewer, if you are playing two players, each play two characters. We have also played with our 14, 12, and 10 year olds. They all enjoyed the game as well. Probably not a good game for much younger than 10 though. I have already purchased myself a copy and have gotten my sister addicted to the game as well!
