In order to play you should be either 4,6 or 8 persons to start.You need a teammate that sits on your opposite. The colored cards are basically the same as the regular uno except there are 'passing symbol and +2 on the teams cards so if you have to pass your teammate also and/or take de +2 you and your teammate. There is no wild+4 in this version of uno. I fully read the instructions once before playing. During the game I would refer to the instructions as the cards with new cues came up. Everyone enjoyed the banter and felt that this game allowed for more communication during the game. I felt that the game allowed for a little too much banter because my players would get further distracted and off topic and it was confusing if at least one person wasn&rsquo;t paying close attention to what was happening. This game would be great for older, more competitive and serious players that enjoy remaining hyper-focused on the game. Sometimes is it difficult to find games that allow for a more equal playing field with a range of age levels in our family. Uno teams is great because if you know how to play Uno, you can jump right in, yet there is a new strategic element with the team concept. Our kids easily caught on after pairing each one up with one of the adults. After a couple of rounds, we switched it up to adults vs kids, and the kids pulled off a win! Rounds of play can be relatively short or may extend a bit longer, but the simplicity of the original game is still there. The fact we have a teammate makes it more fun. We were playing for over two hours. It&rsquo;s definitely longer to try to end the game. You can swap cards with your buddy and call out uno for your teammate if they forget. It&rsquo;s definitely in rotation for games we play with family.
