It's metal so it has some weight and toughness to it. My daughters play rough with this truck and it is still good. They have loaded up dirt in it. They also love to sit in it and push each other around the house. I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old and it holds both of them. Tough!! It can withstand just about anything. It is made very well with actual steel. It can lug around rocks, dirt, sand, toys or whatever else little boys like to play with. This is a large dump truck which I love because it gives my child the ability to do more with it. It has tires that easily spin and maneuver around. It can drive very well over sand and dirt. I love how the back of the dump truck comes up so dump out whatever contents are in it. My child loves this dump truck. Hours of fun pulling, pushing filling and dumping. My child even put the cat in it and pushed him around the house. My cat layed comfortably in the back and went along for the ride. This will last a long time because of the materials used to make it. It is sturdy and tough. It&rsquo;s very large so pretend play is much more realistic because of the amount this can hold. I am very impressed and so it my child. It has that classic Tonka yellow which I love too. My son sleeps with this truck at the side of this bed now. The truck is large. You 2 year old will try to get in the truck and he will fit. He will fill it with water and send it down the slide. He will ask for his food to be placed in the bed of the truck. He will want to bring it inside everyday even when it is covered in dirt and mud. It is large, made of metal and plastic and so much fun. My son uses this beast on his 'construction sites' and it can handle dirt, rocks, other trucks, little sisters.....
