I was surprised to find there was actually a change! He isn't arching or lifting his legs when he eats with this bottle and there is less crying and fighting at the bottle. There's way less burping as well. I only wish I had used these sooner! Another important aspect I feel I should mention is that they don't leak from the ring. I had another name brand bottle that I tried when the baby was just born and it leaked from the ring. No leaks with Tommee Tippee! There are more parts (3 pieces) to the bottle to wash and I'll be honest, wasn't looking forward to washing extra parts but after seeing the change in the baby will be glad to wash them! It's honestly not bad and it comes with a tiny pipe cleaner brush that can get in all the crevices so you know they're nice and clean. This busy mom of 3 gives the anti colic bottle 2 thumbs up. It also does seem to do a good job keeping baby from getting too much air while feeding. My 2-month old (exclusively bottle-fed) seems to like this bottle. My main frustration with this bottle is that it requires 3 hands to (or 2 hands plus a clean place to lay bottle parts) in order to put formula into it. There are 3 distinct pieces to the bottle: the bottle, the lid with nipple, and the &quot;straw&quot; air valve. The way it is designed, the &quot;straw&quot; air valve takes up all the space at the top after you take off the lid/nipple. That means that it is impossible to hold onto 3 parts and put formula in. One of the features I like about this bottle is that the fluid ounce marks are very easy to read and are nice and big on the bottle. However my baby collapsed the nipple quite a few times while he was drinking out of the bottle and I'm not sure what the venting system actually does when I burped him the first time we had a bunch of formula come back up. When I shook the bottle to mix the formula I had formula leaking out of the bottle so it would be best if there was a shaker cap to use to shake your formula up. He was extra fussy at night and even began to be fussy throughout the day. I decided to try these bottles out. At first he liked them, but immediately I noticed that the milk was just coming out too fast for him to handle. Every feeding the top of his shirt was soaked, even with a bib and burp cloth on. I could see him trying to keep up with the flow and soon he became upset. I would also hear lots of activity going on in his belly because of the extra air he was taking in while feeding. He was still gassy and had his fussy nights. My entire family in the UK used TT bottles and was disappointed when they were not available in the US. But then they became available at Babies r us and definately without hesitation decided to switch. I have absolutly no regrets. We did experience nipple collapse, but after looking on the Tommee Tippee website, we found the fix. The domed valve did not have a slit like it was supposed to. After contacting the company about this problem, they sent me 4 replacement valves. They are all so horrible, ESPECIALLY this one for anti-colic...it gave my baby more gas, my baby had trouble drinking out of this bottle and especially with the nipple (it collapses and bends where it should not...very weird design), this bottle also leaked all the time no matter what we did, and this was the most annoying bottle to clean I have ever seen in my life. There are about 4 or 5 little tiny parts in the bottle that you have to disassemble every time you wash it...such a pain. I got around 6 pkgs between this and the 9oz bottles, I regret it so much, they are the worst bottles ever. 1st the flow is too fast for a newborn, 2nd the nipple colapses and 3rd they gave my baby a lot of gases. Now my baby is 11 weeks old I tried to used them again but still the same problem the niple still colapses. Don't waist your money they are expensive and not worth it. If i could give it 0 stars I would. Save yourself a headache and buy dr. We had been using Dr. Brown's, but decided to try these bottles because of a poor latch on the nipples of the Dr. Brown's, as well as the &quot;anti-colic&quot; claim. SO happy we did. These bottles are easy for him to latch on to, and keep excess air out of his belly. Sometimes the nipple does collapse while feeding, but that's because the slit in the vent piece sticks together after washing. When I notice this happening, I unscrew the nipple and collar, pull out the insert and pinch the vent. Problem solved. Some of the vents needed the slit &quot;opened&quot; before first use. Just poke the cleaning brush through the bubble in the vent to open. I would definitely recommend these bottles to other parents. Didn't give the product 5 stars, only because it's a pain to clean all the pieces for each bottle (6 per bottle!) but worth it to prevent excess spit up and gas! At first i did notice the nipple inverting when my son would suck on it too much, however after checking out the tommee tippee website i realized if you rub the tip of the cone before placing it in the bottle then it'll function properly. Its just one more thing you've got to remember but ever since then it works perfect my baby no longer has to stop in between his feeding and has had less problems even with his acid reflux. Going to get him the 9 oz next.
