The age on the box says 3+ but the actual building of the house was quite difficult and required an adult to assemble. We found the structure kept collapsing as the magnets didn&rsquo;t seem strong enough to keep it sturdy. We found the packaging very fiddly to open too. However when the children were playing freely with the tile house, they enjoyed the magnets and building their own structures. The toy is colourful and the characters were nice. I expect if it was built properly a child would enjoy playing with it. The bluey one was the favourite because of the recognisable character. Children's point of view- I love the bluey house, bluey is my favourite. -Magnets are fun and I like building things. -It is a bit tricky, and I am 3! The children enjoyed making their own buildings. We also liked that these sets were compatible with different branded magnet tiles and shapes we already have in school. We much preferred the printed backgrounds on the vet clinic for example. I really like that the set is compatible with the other sets and our pre schoolers spent more time mixing the sets up to create their own playscapes. My Masters degree project was on the use of character toys (as opposed to generic figures) in early years settings and evidence suggests they stifle creativity because the character narrative is already there instead of children creating their own narratives in play. The magnetic pieces are well-made and require some thought and creativity to assemble, which made it a rewarding challenge for both the kids and adults. It&rsquo;s a great way to spark imagination while spending quality time together. What we loved most was how it kept the kids entertained for a long time&mdash;they were so proud of their creations! Although there is an instruction booklet to build as per box, there are endless possibilities for your child to build how they want to. Once in situ it's not easy to move around as, like any magnetic tiles, it's not very stable. My children enjoyed playing with this toy, however once it had fallen down a few times throughout the play they seemed to lose interest in rebuilding. Great toy for any bluey fan.
