It was so lovely to see her eyes light up when he made a sound and blinked at her. Thready Bear is an ideal companion for a 3 - 5 year old, Isabelle will be 6 in April and in her &quot;motherly&quot; phase so she loves him. He has played in the garden with his excited little squealing noises, gone to swimming with her, played jumping ..... although that resulted in Thready Bear having a bump to his head (whoops) but we got to hear his unhappy sounds ..... more cuddling followed. He falls asleep in the car quite a bit, once the movement on her knee and them cuddles start, Thready Bear is soon snoring!! Isabelle has enjoyed bringing Thready Bear to life but I do not think he is value for the &pound;59.99 price tag. I wouldn't have specifically gone and bought this bear unless he was in a price drop offer, around the &pound;30. I had to change the batteries to Duracell as soon as it arrived as the ones he came with lit his heart up but that was it, no further sounds or movement so we missed the wow factor. For a &pound;60 toy he really should work first time! As a frustrated parent and a 5 year old with very little patience we didn't have the best start but as soon as we got him working she has loved the interaction. My 2 year old was even able to lie him down, shush, stroke him and send him to sleep! he started snoring and she was gobsmacked!! We have had Thready about a week and I can't say I've heard 70 sounds but he does vocalise nicely. Although quite heavy, my daughter has been able to carry him around but I do have to remember to turn him off at the switch at bedtime otherwise he will wake her up. We have taken him shopping and for dinners and other people have commented on how sweet he is! It really is a gorgeous toy! I had to fasten the thread with a little clear hair elastic as it kept coming undone and I didn't want to loose the heart. I'm not sure I would spend &pound;60+ on him but I would definitely consider it if I saw it on prime day or in the sales. Since this bear arrived at hour house, both of my daughters (5yr &amp; 2yr) haven&rsquo;t put it down. Initially it took us a while to understand how it worked; it didn&rsquo;t seem to do very much at first, but after a while we got used to the interactive features and it&rsquo;s become a well loved toy. The only criticisms i have is the strings on the heart don&rsquo;t stay fastened. Also the fabric has become quite bobbly after a few days. At first, I thought it was fab! Great size and really hard wearing for taking out and about. The sounds and light up features were a lovely touch as were the moving eyes. However, the features seemed very limited in the differences and how often they played. The heart is lovely but we have had it come untied so easily and misplaced on a few occasions. After the initial obsession with it, my little ones interest in it disappeared quite quickly. She thought the sounds and moving eyes were fun, but found it tricky to know what emotions the bear was displaying. She thought it looked angry when it scrunched its eyes up. The features seem very intermittent. The heart lights up and sounds when touched but the hand button only worked when the trial key was in and not after. We have yet to see thready bear wink too... Lovely to have and my little one likes it when reminded...
