Thready Bear is the best friend you didn&rsquo;t know you needed. You thread his heart onto his chest, promise to love him forever and before your eyes he comes to life and treats you to a magical selection of interactions that will have your little ones amazed. He pulls different facial expressions and reacts to what you say and do- don&rsquo;t be to rough with him as he might be sad and cry. My child has had a great time so far playing role play games with Thready- they played ships together and have had a picnic. And when it&rsquo;s bedtime Thready closes his eyes and snores away to the land of dreams. He is quite expensive for a Teddy bear but you have to remember he is very interactive and if your child loves pretend play, role playing etc you will definitely get your moneys worth from him for sure! So perfect , especially for a child who may struggle with their emotions or friendships, a toy that allows a child to be a child. I've caught my daughter having full blown conversations with her Thready Bear asking if it's okay or if hes tired, She's always been such a caring little girl, but Thready really has complimented this side of her personality in the sweetest most adorable way. We've watched the Thready Bear cartoon together, and as a parent i love the whole concept of a child learning about friendships and believing in themselves, having the confidence to believe they can do anything. She struggles tying on the heart but it's given her determination to keep trying and to learn how to tie a bow. The thread comes undone easily and I've had to redo it myself for her, been tempted to put a little stitch in it but my daughter said no that she wants to keep putting the heart on. She loves the whole process of Thready coming to life , and when she made the Thready Bear promise she added to it that she promised to never get separated from it. Shes kept her promise with that as its joined us for the school run every morning and we love the label on it where my daughter can write her name . Still learning about the many different reactions , but so far we have had tired , happy, sad and even angry! Still trying to work out what made it angry. Its a weighted teddy and definitely sturdy and robust as it has taken a lot already from being dropped and swung about by the arms. The bear is really interactive and expresses emotions which is great for my little girl. The twinkle in my little ones eyes and the happy dance she did when Thready bear came to life was so sweet. She takes Thready to bed every night, he is the first thing she reaches for when she wakes up and she enjoys having tea party&rsquo;s and little chats with him all day. We love that Thready bear reacts to everything she says and it&rsquo;s like they have their own little language. I like its functions but i do feel the price point is high for a toy of its calibre. The fabric is starting to bobble quite early. And the battery ran out very quickly. My daughter loved threading his heart in place, reading the &lsquo;thready bear promise&rsquo; and watching him come to life. (We used the fast setting for him to come to life quickly as my toddler has no patience so it was great that we had this option) The bear then reacted to my daughters actions, if she spun him round or pushed him on the swing he said 'weeee' if she dropped him, he cried, if she rocked him he went to sleep and snored. She enjoyed involving him in her daily life. The only downside is the weight of the bear himself, he&rsquo;s quite heavy for my 3.5 year old to carry around and the noise of the motor in the eyes is quite loud and mechanical sounding. Also one of the strings to thread through the heart was frayed so the heart couldn&rsquo;t easily be threaded again and again which takes away some of the educational aspect as this would have been ideal for fine motor skills development. The description states there are 70+ expressions and reactions, but I have only heard about 25 and there are no understandable phrases just noises and music.
