He opened the package and went get his train tracks and his other trains and began playing. He played with that train everyday since he received it. We do not have the track masters track, but this works pretty well on his other tracks or the floor! We have to carry it with us everywhere we go! He's not very careful with his toys so I was concerned about durability. This train exceeded my expectations. It has been dropped a couple of times and no harm was done. It is very durable and I expect it to last a long time. I will definitely be purchasing other trains to go with this one. It has kept my son entertained for long periods of time which is not an easy task. I love that I can buy different track sets that these trains work with so that it changes things up a bit and really keeps my child from becoming bored. Runs on 2 AAA batteries. Has a nice quiet motor, unlike the older motorized trains in this line, which is a plus! He builds his tracks and places Henry the train on it then flips the switch to watch him move along the tracks on his own. Henry the motorized train is a nice size and will keep the little ones busy trying to chase the train around the house. it does require 2 triple A batteries ( batteries not included ) and need a screwdriver to unscrew the battery top off. He is a fun addition to our other Thomas toys, and works well on the tracks we got from another set. This motorize Henry runs really smooth through all the tracks and his tender is just the right size to zip up and around all the tracks in good time. The train itself is very durable and light weight so kids (and adults) can easily handle the train around the tracks with ease. The train is well constructed so you don't need to worry if you drop him, he is quite sturdy! The lever to turn Henry on is easy to operate and with a quick pop, you can easily turn the train on or off without much trouble.
