<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8yr old, 5 yr old and 2 yr old all LOVE this train set! My 8yr old helped me set up the tracks. The instructions were easy to follow and the tracks were conveniently labeled with their part numbers so you weren't guessing if the track piece you had in hand matched the one in the photo. Once it was set up the 8yr old and 5yr old played with for a while which was a nice break from "Screens". My 2yr old also loved it but went godzilla on it pretty quickly. The die cast trains were very durable. They are push trains so it's all kid powered. They little trains sit at the top of the tracks and you lower a lever to let them race down the hill. **Spoiler** Thomas always seems to win. Battery powered trains also work on this set and you can easily connect this to other Thomas train sets. I definitely recommend this to Thomas Train Set fans!</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Race for the Sodor Cup playset in exchange for my honest review. The set came well-packaged and all documented pieces were enclosed. Each track piece has a number letter code (like all Thomas the Train track sets) that made it easier to assemble while following the included clearly labeled direction pamphlet. The clarity of the directions came especially handy for this specific track set because of the amount of platforms included to raise the track (6). I liked that there were very few stickers to apply and that they were quite easy and adhered to the surfaces very well. It was quite easy for me to assemble. I don't think my 5yo son could assemble this on his own but I didn't expect him to as we have other sets and I always set them up for him. The set came with two trains, Thomas and Kana. There is a lever at the starting position that when up raised up, "locks" each train in place at the start position. When you're ready to start the race, you simply pull it down to the neutral positon and away they go! My son is really enjoying playing with this toy and I could see him getting enjoyment out of it for years to come. This toy is well made, in opinion. The only thing I didn't love was that with it being raised and therefore having so many platforms for the racing purposes, the 6 platforms don't stay attached very well and fall out from under it when moved. But other than that, its an excellently entertaining toy.</span>

She really enjoyed racing Thomas and Kana. The directions are easy to follow and the # and letters for pieces are on the underside of the track. Very convenient. I had to assemble because the pieces were difficult for my daughter to put together. She did help with placing the sign and the Sodor Cup though. Trains run smoothly on the track and the colors and graphics are great. Thomas is always a fun adventure in our home.</span>

It covers a length twice the size of our train table, so we placed it on the floor. The track is sturdy when assembled and lasted through my toddler playing with it for hours, and it's still standing. It was simple to put together and easy to take apart as well. The trains included are great quality, have great detail in their design and were very engaging for my son. I liked the half figure 8 design and that it goes from raised to floor level, meaning the trains can freely roll from the top to the bottom, meaning this doesn't require batteries to operate and he can use non battery trains on it.
I have been buying these sets for 16 years and will continue to do so because I enjoy the Thomas brand and sets, and my 3 kids approve as well.</span>

They were all excited when I got Thomas & Friends Race for the Sodor Cup Set. We opened the box and they all commented on how many pieces the set included. They were so excited to put it together and they did it all by themselves. It is a lot bigger set then we were expecting. They had a good time letting the trains race down the track. The only thing they did not like about this set was that because the weights were different on the trains, Thomas always won. I noticed as a parent that the plastic seemed to be a lot thinner in this track set compared to other Thomas sets we have. All in all this set was really fun for my kids to play with.</span>

Knowing it said 3+ I was sure after looking it over he would be ok with it as long as there was always supervision. We were definitely not disappointed! I put it together very quickly, the pieces are well constructed and all fit perfectly and easily together. Once it is together, it stays together very well which takes away the worry over small pieces. The switch works perfectly to start the trains and my 2 year old and 6 year old were able to operate it easily. The trains are so well constructed and very sturdy, durable enough to stand up to toddler abuse! We are incredibly happy with this toy and it has quickly become a favorite in our household.</span>

They loved that they were able to play together and race against each other. Racing was as simple and raising a level which the 3 year old was able to do with no problem. The set came with 2 trains so we didn't have to worry about only having one to play with. My only complaint about the set is that Thomas seemed to win most of the time. I'm not sure if it's because of the weight or size of the train but he usually won over the purple train. Overall my kids loved this toy and I highly recommend it!</span>
