He was so excited to assemble it with me and I was equally eager to combine all the pieces together to make the mega half pipe ramp. The packaging of the box looks amazing and has a very quality feel and look to the whole set, which is why it would also make a fantastic gift. It's recommended for ages 6+, but it's easy to assemble and I think that age rating is more to do with just the parts in the hands of smaller kids and not the level of difficulty. It's time to channel our inner pro fingerboarders this weekend and bust out all the moves. It comes with a set of graffiti-style stickers which are super cool and literally guarantees hours of playtime and fun. This is a great addition to the other tech deck toys my nephew has and we can't wait to add to the ramp and also more skateboards in the future as well with other sets. He can't wait to show it to his friends and neighbors and I myself was eagerly trying out some Tony Hawk style ollie and kickflips which was so amusing. My daughter got frustrated trying to figure out those pieces and how it fits. In the end after the pieces are put together she didn't understand how to play it at first but quickly learned after explaining it to her. He loves playing with them. However, it was hard for him to build I ended up doing most of it for him. It is super cool and fairly big for the size I thought it would be. It's perfect for playing with all his tech deck skateboards and BMX's that he loves. I will continue to buy these for him. We did find when assembling the ramps that the pieces can be little tricky and sometimes hard to push together definitely need an adult supervision. The halfpipe is made entirely of plastic but is pretty sturdy once it is assembled. While the assembly instructions could use some improvement, once you get the hang of it, the toy assembles easily. While neither of my kids could do any of the tricks you see others performing with other Tech Deck toys they enjoyed trying. Both loved the little skateboard, it was a hit! They also found the halfpipe easier to play with when they separated the two halves, but that might change with practice. Im admittedly not great at toy building but it was very easy to put together. Id say less than 10 minutes all together. This is a sturdy, durable toy that will bring lots of fun and laughs to my kids. My 7 year old daughter also loves it but has a hard time prying it out of my sons hands.
